    Your Disneyland Traditions

Please forgive me if this has been done a million times before. I'm a newbie and haven't come across it!!

I'm just wanting to hear your Disneyland traditions. Be it food, rides, anything!

I've been going to Disneyland at least once a year since 1985, my first trip when I was 8.

Since that first trip we have a few things we ALWAYS do.

When we walk in my sister takes a cheesy pic of me in front of the Mickey flowerbed. Then we walk under the righthand bridge. We stroll leisurely down Main Street, window shopping. Then it's through Adventureland straight onto Pirates. It's been the first ride we go on the first day of every single trip!

We always have a Dole Whip when we go into the Tiki Room. We always make a wish at the Snow White wishing well. We always eat at the Blue Bayou for lunch one day, we only go on the Matterhorn at night and we always exit the park by going under the opposite side we came in (the righthand side exiting). Most of these things we've done every single trip.

What about you? What are your Disneyland traditions?

Enter through the left tunnel, check in at City Hall and get a B-Day sticker (evey trip is centered around someone's B-Day), hang out on the porch on Main St people watching while munching on a pineapple slice (or pickle) from the fruit stand, lunch at the Blue Bayou (Monte Cristo), first and last rides of the trip decided by the kid celebrating their B-Day.

This list represents the minimum. We have others, but they might vary with the trips throughout the year.

I always go on Peter Pan as the last attraction of each trip. Because... I'm never growing up! It's as simple as that.

Oh and I try to get on ISAW as many times as I can too which is usually once a day.

We used to go in through the left tunnel, but since I got hired I've been going in through the right to see who's at the Opera House. When I was a kid, we used to run to Tomorrowland as soon as we got to the park and hit Space Mountain and Star Tours. We'd also, if possible, finish the day with Space Mountain.

We go once a year, big family trips, (this year it will be 21 of us)
we always do the early morning entry and ride all the FL dark rides a few times.
We do DL in the morning, lunch and a swim at the hotel and then DL in the late afternoon until close. We do a Mickey picture and a Castle pic each time.

    I cant wait for June!!!

I always enter in through the left tunnel. Go to the restroom near City Hall. Get on PotC then go in a clockwise motion through the park. Now that Pirates is closed, we start off with BLAB and go in a counter clockwise motion. But we always make time to sit, eat a snack, and watch people passing by.

There are two things we always try to do regardless of when. Just as long as it happens before we leave the park!

    1. Always stop at The Candy Palace to see what they're making and 2. Stop at Disneyana to see what's new and/or displayed differently!

THe same... listen to Disney music on the way in, pray to the Parking dieties for a good spot, call the tram the first ride of the cday and get our pic on it.

Then reverse... tram is last ride of day and take pic, play the MSEP music on the way out (when I can find that CD) and hold our hands up and say wheeee as we go down the parking ramps and pray not to get hit as those crazy lanes all merge into one.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

We always end up sitting in front of the Main St Station for the parade, so we have 10 years worth of footage of sitting in that spot. Also like to make Blue Bayou for lunch and Rancho Del Zocalo for dinner at dusk! Plus would recommend the nighttime Jungle Cruise for pure magic!

    Re: Your Disneyland Traditions

We enter through the right tunnel, use the restroom behind the bank. Then ride the horse carriage down main street, and go on Star tours. Then we just counterclockwise go around the park. At the Matterhorn my two girls go on that while I take my son on Alice (I know seems backward, but he is smaller....) A new tradition--we always have a dole whip now thanks to you all. We always try to do MTWR as many times as possible (especially when its cold ) We always used to play under King Triton squirting.....
