Oh, and if you scream on the rides... it helps too... I think it helps with your ears and the equilibrium and not making you sick!

Try it!! Let me know if it helps.

Peopplmover1 has a point about eating....though I personally avoid eating greasy stuff if I think I may get ill....it has the opposite effect on me...ewwww.

I go for salty instead..chips, fries (OK a little grease but not what he was talking about) or popcorn....it helps to settle my stomach...
(Breads also work well, but I avoid excess sugar as well....)

I also agree you should keep something in your stomach...but I would go for healthier options....something about there being something in your stomach to absorb excess acid (which causes nausia)

Indiana Jones is jerky but not so much fast. but i really think the fun experience you get from it (you WILL have fun! lol) will compensate for that! A few years ago i said i'd never ride it because whenever i saw the "sudden drops" on the board outside the ride, that scared me because i knew i'd get motion sickness, but when i finally rode it, it was so much fun! Afterwards i was like slapping myself and asking myself why i didn't ride it before.

indy might not make u sick, or it might make u sick. so i'd say, try it! I made a post a month ago just like this because i was worried about riding the tower of terror. but i ended up riding it and liking it. so u never know.

It's pretty jerky, but it's not very fast. You might get motion sickness, but seriously, it's worth it. Just try it. You'll have fun! :-)

I don't know. All I can tell you is that it's the best ride that has been built at the DLR in 15 years. But I haven't been there or on that ride in almost 7 years! so I can't remember how bumpy or how much it might make you sick.

    Re: Indiana Jones...should I??

I am VERY prone to motion sickness and I cannot do StarTours (ever!), Space Mountain (did that once and never again), or Screamin'. And forget about any spinning rides. But I can do Indy. Like you, I was very nervous on my first ride. There is one drop, but it is kind of like the drop in Pirates - just enough to be fun, not enough to feel sick. There is one pretty good banking turn in the dark, but it is over fast and really isn't that bad. There are enough place during the ride that is either slows down or stop so that you can catch your breath. But like others have said, it is pretty jerky so hang on!

From one sicky to another: Do it! It is a great ride!

It must all be in your head then, because every Tower of Terror elevator has the same drop sequence. New, randomized drop sequences are supposed to come later this summer.

But as for the original post, I'm afraid I'm of no help. I very rarely get any sort of motion sickness, so I don't know. I'd suggest just trying it out and hoping for the best. Go get a plastic store bag from the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost across the way and then take it with you on the ride, and if you need to, use it for any "accidents" which may occur. I think you'll be fine though! Good luck and have fun!

Indiana Jones Adventure is worth the price of a box of Dramamine.

Well, if they are all the same then why are some more sickening than others???? I SWEAR that sometimes the sequence is WAY more up down, up down in short jerks than others. They also seem to be slower on the left elevators than on the right. The faster it goes and the longer the drops, I don't tend to get sick.

What's your answer for that MG????!! hummmmm???

For overeating - yes. For motion sickness, try ginger (as in snaps or ale).
