WELL, if we're going to jump the esplanade over to the Heydays of
DCA, THEN you are actually talking about the green godess of DCA,
"DeVine". And don't forget those coloful sacks that nobody knew what they were "3 Bags Full" ~ THOSE were certainly the most unusual characters that DCA EVER had.

Re: Most Unique Character You've Seen

The most unique character ever to appear at Disneyland was one who only came to life after sunset. I was there when Goliath from Gargoyles made his very first appearance on Main Street and it was the single most awesome character I have ever seen. A dead ringer for the cartoon character and the wings were enormous! He was only out after the sun started to set and they really had protection all around him. I would think because the costume was so complicated and must have been very heavy and unwieldy they had to keep people at a distance while he was walking, but once he got to his spot, then you get get a picture with him. I can't remember if he was able to sign autographs or not. I think he only lasted one summer season.

Don Karnage was another unique and favorite character. That costume was one of the best ever done.
Peter Pan Forever!!! I Will Never Grow Up.
