    Question Carousel Inn

I'm kind of afraid to ask, but can anyone tell me anything about the Carousel?

We usually stay at Marriott Fairfield Inn, but got a killer price at the Carousel, so we decided to try it out.

Obviously since the room's paid for and we leave tomorrow AM I can't do anything if it DOES suck, but I'd like to be prepared at least....

    Any info?

    Thanks!!

It's nice. We stayed there in 2003, my daughter and I. The rooms are basic, nothing fancy but not shabby by any means. The pool is on the roof and was fun, I kept wanting to watch the fireworks from up there but we were always so tired by the end of the day.

It's a super close walk, which makes it really nice. I don't think you'll think it sucks, unless you are looking for more from your hotel than just a place to sleep and shower. The pool is not themed (at least not in 2003) It's just a place to cool off and splash.

    So, should be ok.

    *whew*

Thanks! Yeah, I don't expect it to be spectacular, just looking for it to be clean and (hopefully) not have a broken bathroom. We seem to have the broken bathroom curse....... :P

I agree that it is a pretty nice place. Incredible staff, very accomodating. The suites are really nice too. The parking is better than some of the other hotels along that stretch of Harbor.

I will be staying there again.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

I will also stay there again. Last time I stayed there, we got a room at the very, very back, at the end of the row, with nobody next door. I think there was a storage room in between our room and the next room, and then we were the last room. I don't know if you can ask for that, but it sure was quiet.

    The suites are really nice.

    Jedi,
you'll like it... they have, without doubt, the best continental breakfast of any of the places on Harbor. Take advantage of it in the mornings... and remember to look for me in my Bob Marley t-shirt
I also noticed that your from SLC, I'm just South of you 50 miles or so. We're flying out on JetBlue Saturday morning... what about you?

    Re: Carousel Inn

We just stayed there in Feb. in the suites and family in regular rooms. The lock on their door did not work well but they just moved rooms no problem. The only problem we had at the time is that they are tearing down the gift shop and adding a Quiznos they are also upgrading the exteriors. So jackhammering every am and nail guns right outside our door at naptime.
However, this was in Feb and they are probably further along or almost done by now.

    Re: Carousel Inn

I've heard people like it...we stayed there once and couldn't wait to leave. My experience was the pillows were hard and lumpy, one bed was slanted, the shower flooded the bathroom and the air didn't work. Maybe we just got a bad room, but if you liek the sound of screaming kids you can watch the fireworks up by the pool. We wathced them from the breakfast room. (That room was very hot as well)...It shouldn't be hot this time of year though, we went in July.

If I got a killer deal i would saty there again, but I wouldn't pay going rates for it.
