They didn't get the rights...to elements in a Disney movie?

Bruckheimer owns the rights to the name The Black Pearl. He wasn't giving them up for a price Disney was willing to pay.

I'm a little concerned about how the WDW version will compare to the DL version, but oh well. The plus side is that they can probably do more with the queue at WDW... maybe add Jack Sparrow's voice into the cave, or, here's an idea, have Barbossa and the rest of the crew discussing their plans to mutiny against Jack.

Also, one thing I don't get is in that one article, they keep mentioning Barbossa's parrot... he never HAD a parrot, he had a monkey. COTTON had a parrot.

I wonder if the moonlight will show Barbossa for what he really is (don't think they're quite at that level of technology, though).

    Have you faced the Yeti?

This is concept art/artwork for the old version of the ride.
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

I'm disappointed the Black Pearl isn't coming. If they're going to do this makeover, and they want it make sense to the storylines, then it ought to be the Black Pearl.
