Well, the good thing is that Disney rides got 6 of the top 10. No matter how they placed, that's impressive!

I do consider the TOT to be one of the best dark rides ever...Originally Posted by MickeyMania
As for the #1 attraction, I saw the pics, and I didn't see anything extraordinary about the whole deal. It looks like a homemade dark ride. I wonder why people think it's so great.

well, seeing as the owner of that website lives about 60 miles from knoebels (sp?), its no surprise they think (ahem....*their poll* thinks) that the ride in their own back yard is better than things at disney. i wouldnt be surprised if this person works at that park, and put out the poll to just try to bolster the 'home town hero' a bit.![]()

This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.
that haunted house looks wack! SMH at the heads who voted that #1
Am I the only one that originally read that as Darkbeer? k, just checking..![]()
Bad Decision. Looks like someone was bribed or knocked over the head by a mallet because that #1 isn't on par with disney or universal.
It's also interesting that WDW's HM is considered the best "Modern" dark ride farther down on the page when it was ranked after DL's HM in the overall poll.

I just have a problem with that being above Indy. Indy is an incredible darkride. None other matches the detail, the granduer, the technology, and the fun. While the Disney classics are awesome, I find it hard to compare them to Indy. And the number one ride??? I would like to ride it for giggles, but I wouldn't rate that in the top 25.
I can't believe that piece of 'crap' beat DL! Look at the pictures of the number one choice on the website provided in the first post- yuck! They look like fricken dolls with blood on them- very umimpressive.
That 1# ride looks more like a Carny rip off....no different from the scary ride you would see a your local fair. I bet it is has over used bells, buzzers, people jumping out from behind walls, black lighting and bunch of velvet Elvis paintings.
Come on....looks like east coast bias...Did Espn do the website?

This was their response to us saying it was a biast poll:
Actually, our members have been all over the world and are FROM all over the world. Granted, the bulk of the members are from PA, OH, NJ, and CA. Secondly, our survey asks for the FAVORITE dark attractions, not necessarily the best. BEST implies that there is a standard of comparison which there is not.
Rick Davis Director of DAFE
Do they call themselves DAFE because they are daffey?
I guess there's no accounting for personal tastes.
Maybe this ride has more going for it than the pictures would imply? Ok, ok, I'm stretching here.....
Heck, I think I'd rather spend time in the Indy queue than ride this cheesy looking Haunted Mansion rip-off.![]()
