    Rocket Rods out, What's in?

When we were in Tomorrowland on Friday, Bear noticed walls built up along the Peoplemover/Rocket Rods area. They started along the Rocket Rods queue near the Radio Disney booth and wrapped around the Tomorrowland Stage all the way to the escalator entrance to the old Peoplemover entrance ending across from Space Mountain. There was a sign on that wall that read "Pardon our dust, We're imagineering another great ride for you". Anyone have any idea what's up with that?

You got to be kidding right? Please tell me that you REALLY saw a new ride sign.
There seriously is a 1 in a million chance right now that you actually saw what you claim you saw. Where did you see it? This picture was taken on the 5th.

Did the sign look similar to this one?

That construction was suppost to be an extension to the tomorrowland terrace stage area from what everyone was saying.

I remember hearing this was just an extension of the Buzz que so people are crammed behind Ariel's grotto. They are having the regular Buzz que enter there now and go through the underground tunnel a la RR.

Frankly I think they put the walls up around the PM loading dock just to torment us!

If anyone is going to be at the park, can you please look for the sign and take a picture for us???

I believe Al Lutz reported that since the RR underground queue was no longer needed, they were reclaiming that area for Tomorroland Terrace/Club Buzz. As for the old Rocket Rods/People Mover Track, I have heard strong rumors that the People Mover and it's people eating high capacity, will be back in some form to add another level of life to the recovering Tomorrowland.

I started thinking this was a thread the majority knew about right up until you mentioned "We're imagineering a new ride". That's when my head started spinning!

An extended Buzz queue line using the RR tunnel?? I don't see how that is possible. I don't buy it.

Maybe they're imagineering a new ride AND expanding the Tomorrowland Terrance, OH, I meant, Club Buzz seating.

I have heard the same as Fishbulb about the Peoplemover/Rocket Rods track, though no timeline given. If there is now a sign on these walls, I'd love to see a pic, since I won't get to the park until this weekend.

Re: Rocket Rods out, What's in?

Was there yesterday, and didn't see a sign. Although, I didn't pay too much attention to the wall... The only sign I saw was the "Club Buzz- this way" sign that Sam noted.

I'd like to see a photo if this sign is really there.

I want a Tron Lightcycle ride!

But seriously, some guy on the WDW micechat forum said WDI was looking at using the peoplemover track for a Pod Racer ride from Star Wars. I dont care what ride goes on the PP tracks as long as its NOT pixar related.
