Sing-A-Long Time with The Dapper Dans!

Howdy.

As many of you know, The Dapper Dans as we know them had their last performance on Saturday, April 8, 2006.

I had the good fortune to be at the park that day, and videotaped the Dans doing their thing.

I am happy to say, this video is now available to all you guys! It is completely free, and viewable through Google Video.

If you have never used Google Video before, I would suggest clicking the Down-Facing triangle at the bottom of the screen and selecting either "Original Size" or "Double Size" for the best picture quality.

You can also download the video with correct file format and resolution for your iTunes/iPod or PSP.

The video is 45 minutes in length, and features 23 songs as performed by the Dans.

Is it confirmed that the replacement entertainment is going to be just new guys doing more or less the same concept? That's kind of disappointing because I wouldn't mind losing the Dans if it means something more exciting was coming in.

I kind of liked the Dans as they were. So to that extent, I hope the new act is different, because it would be weird to have a similar act with different guys.

Club 33, thank you for taking the time to follow the Dapper Dans around on Saturday and get all that footage. And thanks also for your work in editing and getting it altogether on Google Video. I have just finished watching the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed it. Your the best.

I felt like I was right there enjoying them. I, for one, sure am going to miss those guys. I know things have to change with time, but it's still hard to imagine a different group.

Nope. Well, not during their performance, but several CMs were asking for autographs and photos and such, so there was definately a sense that it was their last day.

Does anyone know how long the Dapper Dans were at Disneyland? It's a total bummer to see Disney make changes like this. When will they learn that the atmosphere at Disneyland is what sets it apart!

The Babershop quartet known as the Dapper Dans, with that trademark goofiness and humor, has been around at Disneyland since 1959.

The current Dans, that is to say, the four main guys who were recently laid off, had been performing together since 1996. Shelby, the lead of the group, had been at the park 23 years (even though his nametag says 'Class of 1986').
