Captain EO was the best! They should make a Walt Disney Treasures: Disneyland Volume 2 dvd and put it on it. I love Captain EO! So bad, yet so good!

I loved EO. It was GREAT. Way better than HISTA. My son laughs at pictures from the show. It was so 80's.

Memories just rush in when thinking about Captain Eo!
Took mom to Disneyland for the first time in over 20 years this week! Woo!

Those special effects were absolutely amazing in that show for the 80's.

I just remember telling my cousin to put his arms down - he wasn't going to be able to touch any of the flying objects!

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!

Oh man, that brings back memories!

The costumed characters from the movie at the premiere were so cool, I don't remember seeing them in the park at all.

I still have a Captain E-O poster. I LOVED Michael Jackson in the 80's. Boy, how things have changed.

This was awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I so miss EO! What an awesome show that was. Incredible talent. Can't deny it, marinated in the 80s or not! I still watch it here at home, but it's just not the same without the 3D effects and the total surround sound. Oh memories!
HISTA makes me so sad... it was a huge disappointment. Not that the movies were that great to begin with.

Here's another bit of Captain EO nostalgia for you, a promo flyer from the old Magic Kingdom Club, 1986.

What a great deal that is. ... $11.50 for a twelve-hour late-night party at Disneyland with free parking!

Why doesn't Disneyland do more after-hours parties? I'd love to go to Disneyland in the middle of the night for a "Grad Nite"-style event.

We were there for the Captain EO 72 hour opening - and never once did we go see the movie.
    Ever
It was like - "Micheal Jackson? ewwww!! Let's go ride the People Mover again instead!"

    Re: Captain Eo Premiere

The Captain EO 72 hour’s premier was my first date with my wife. We lasted 22 hours out of the 72 hours. I still remember eating breakfast at the River Belle Terrace and watching the sun rise over the Rivers of America.
