    What's up with the Observatron?

Does anybody know what's going on with the piece of junk that's sitting
on top of the Rocket Rods loading platform? Will it actually operate for the
50th? Seems to me the last few times I have been to the park it was not
working - just sitting there looking like a complete eyesore.

Maybe if all mentions it in his updates, they will do something about it. I dont see much being overlooked in Tomorowland, so I'd expect the park to do something with it in the near future. I just think that it wont be operational as a ride until they do womething with the Peoplemover track.

The Observatron is the single most ugly thing out of TL 98. It's even worse than Club Buzz Stage (going away, yes!!!).

If they could get Rocket Jets to run pretty perfectly for many, MANY years, than the Observatron should work too.

For a quick fix (they don't have time to build something in one month before the 50th) just remove the Observatron. Yes, the Rocket Rods loading platform ceiling will look plain, but there's no reason to look up there anyway. It's all empty! Nothing on the tracks, nothing in the loading area...etc

Why not just strap a second set of rockets back on the thing and throw up an elevator. Tomorrowland's central focal point could be "fixed" in a matter of months if they wanted to do it.

I saw the observation move many of times, but its only hourly, the observation is like a clock.
But it still sucks all it is is music and the thing spinning

Would be cool if they quickly put the Astro Orbitor up there just before the 50th.

I saw it operate soon after it was installed. "Big-Whoop-A-Tron."

Based on recent changes in TL, I suspect that thing will be sold for so much a pound fairly soon.

i saw some of the satelite's missing the other day...what gives?
Went to a party the other night
All the ladies were treating me right
Moving my feet to the disco beat
How in the world could I keep my seat
All of a sudden I began to change
I was on the dance floor acting strange
Flapping my arms I began to cluck
Look at me..I'm the disco duck

if some of those are missing.. then it is getting a referbishment... If only DL got WDW's Astro Orbiter instead of DLPs.... Then their would be no problem...

I think the Observatron may be the most hated thing in TL if not all of Disneyland. Why can't they just remove the ugly junk and put the rockets back on the ride. I'd rather see the rockets go around even if you couldn't ride them than that hideous clump of garbage.
