Re: A new dark ride for DCA: Midway Mania

Yet another cheap and lame idea. We ask for another Pirates/HM ride and they give us a cheap kiddie ride.

^ I really am starting to doubt Disney for how many mistakes they make constantly now. Really they are not smart at all, if they were DCA would of been fixed by now. DCA might as well be called pixarland because that is what it is. Disney is not willing to fix the problem because of their own greed, simple as that. They will continue to make the same mistakes over and over again until they wake up and consider the fact that DCA is a huge failure and needs over the top budgets with love for it to work. More serious type themes and rides are the only way this park will ever thrive on itself.

personally, i dont think there is all that much room where this proposed ride is supposed to go. there's too many access ways for foods/stores/attractions/custodial/security/ODV/etc. behind the show buildings for them to extend back and cut into said paths.

    I like that idea.

Sounds like a lot of our speculations have specifically been around Toy Story characters for this ride. Al's article said "Pixar characters", so I'm wondering if it's going to be like a Block Party Bash amalgamation of all Pixar characters under one roof?

I'm curious to hear opinions on this concept from all the DCA lovers and haters out there. Personally, I think the addition of a dark ride to the Pier is an excellent idea, but I'm a bit apprehensive about this concept. Doesn't it seem a bit BLAB-esque?

What do you guys think? Any speculations? Things you'd like to see worked into (or out of!) this concept?
I had heard this through rumors at work.. I had heard it was suppose to be an incredibles dark ride though, but like I said only rumors

Rumors are that the Incredibles is an entirely different e-ticket attraction.

If they did that I would get so mad I would go and burn the ride down.
I dont get why Mickey cant have this ride and I mean didnt Walt use to say it all started because of a mouse.
Also I want Oswald to be in the ride with Mickey.

I blatently stole this for my signature!

And the problem with the CA Freeway thrill ride/test track ride idea, is that if it's true to the idea, you'd get in a car and you'd never go faster than 10mph between the hours of 7a-9a and 5p-7p.

    Some thrill.

I respect what you say jerroddragoon, but i feel very surprised by the comments I hear. I would feel saddened if someone burned down a ride.

I thought since you had inside information, you might know what this ride's theme will be?

Do you have any more info to share on this ride? Keep up the good work.
