I was just wondering, are there any 50th Anniversary Disneyland Railroad pins available at the park? The reason why I'm asking is that my sister and her boyfriend will be there next week and thought she could pick one up for me.

So are there any 50th anniversary pins for the railroad?
There are pins for every attraction that was therre on opening day, if they still have them. I haven't really seen a specific pin for the RR though. You would think they would have some, but I can't remember. I might be going down Sunday and I will take a look and let you know.

I was talking to a friend tonight who knows pins and he said other than the golden train pin there was nothing commemerative done for the trains, which even he says is very odd. But they did have a big party for the trains a couple of years ago and at that time they released all kinds of commemorative Disneyland train pins.

Well, there was at one point last year.

In addition to the "Original Attraction" pin, which I consider a true 50th anniversary commemorative pin, there was also the Fred Gurly pin which was part of the "Marque" sculpture, but that was extremely limited edition (300), and the pin wasn't sold separately.
Then there was the Lilly Belle re-dedication pin, which wasn't really a 50th anniversay pin, but was just released this year. And that was CM only.
There were a couple other pins that were also CM only, including miniature versions of the builder's plates that were created for engines 1 and 2, also made to coincide with the 50th. I don't even think there are pictues of these on the internet.
Dang. I want that.Originally Posted by MickeyMania

Thanks for the info. I'll tell my sister to keep an eye open for any pins.
