Except that it's not the first time DCA has been restricted: They were closed a couple of times last December. They closed down both parks temporarily during the infamous "fire" at the GCH, (I know because the hotel entrance was blocked off!) That was just a crazy day all around----

.....and there was one other day---I think it was December 29th where you couldn't get into either Park for a time.

Unless, of course, you were a Resort guest, or had a handstamp!

Anyway, that was quite a week for the resort. Read my trip report. I know I'll never forget it!

I was meeting up with friends at DTD at 6:00pm for dinner on Saturday night. I was shocked when I saw the signs that said that both parks were sold out. Once I got near the parking structure (Mickey and Friends). The cars were backed up almost out of the structure. After 15 minutes, and the line hand not really moved, I got out the line and went to the regular DTD parking lot.

Talk about a zoo.

Isn't it funny that after one week or so of strong attendance, DCA is now considered a success?

I'll see you guys there the day after the 2fer ends... you know, when it's empty.
