Re: Non-Disney music makes you think of the parks?

-Rockin' Chair by Louis Armstrong (The opening melody is exactly like the Monster's Inc. main theme, only a lot slower)
-Swing, Swing by The All-American Rejects (not sure why)
-Rockaria by Electric Light Orchestra (It's just a fun song that makes me want to go to Disneyland. theres just something about the way that song ends. haha)
-Detroit, Lift Up Your Weary Head! (Rebuild! Restore! Reconsider!) by Sufjan Stevens
-In The Devil's Territory by Sufjan Stevens

All of these songs either remind me of Disneyland, or really make me want to go there!

anything by the 50s folk trio The Easy Riders. EVERYONE needs to check them out. in fact, the lead singer - Terry Gilkyson - wrote 'the bare necessities' for 'the jungle book' and some music for 'the swiss family robinson' and 'the aristocats'.

exotica stuff by Martin Denny and Les Baxter remind me of adventureland.

Sons of the Pioneers remind me a lot of frontierland.

esquivel sometimes makes me think of space mountain

i'm always looking for music that sounds like disneyland. anyone got tips for something that sounds like the blue bayou?

Not a theme park, but this really takes me back . . .

Whenever I see the movie "The Sting" and hear all that great Scott Joplin music played by Marvin Hamlisch, it reminds me of the Empress Lilly riverboat on Lake Buena Vista, long before Fulton's came in, removed the sternwheel, and destroyed everything that was classy and stylish about the EL.

The EL always played Joplin's music in the corridors and common areas between the restaurants.

    The Empress Lilly, c. 1979:

    Cherry-Poppin Dadies..."Drunk Daddy" I associate with a timeshare resort.

I think "Moonlight Serenade" since it used to be played in The Land I now associate with Disney, Disney's version or not.

My Haunted House soundtrack always makes me think of disneyland.

    The Mummy - Indiana Jones
Creature from the black lagoon - Blue Bayou
Haunted Mansion - Haunted Mansion (Duh)
    Bat Caves - Indiana Jones

DEAD MANS PARTY - Danny Elfman wrote it about the Haunted Mansion.
    (DE Big Disneyland fan)
"it's a dead mans party, who could ask for more. Everybodys coming leave your body at the door, leave your body and soul at the door. don't run away, its only me. don't be afraid of what you can't see."
