You keep saying that he isn't Walt but you never tell me why. Give me a reason for how you feel aside from, he's a suit or he's just trying not to get fired!

EDIT: As goes Disneyland, so goes the rest of the empire...

This is the best saying ever! And that's the way Walt felt.
Let's be clear. I am impressed by his actions to date. However, I see no reason to compare him to Walt Disney!!! He's a guy, he works for a big company. Dinseyland is part of a huge corperation and huge corperations don't leave room for visionaries... instead, they squash them. The man is competant, smart and he obviously cares about guest experience and the Disneyland magic... but that does not make him Walt, that just makes him pretty good at his job. The sad truth is, there is no room at the Walt Disney Company for Walt Disney anymore.

Again, I repeat, "I am impressed by his actions". I just don't feel the need to equate him to Jesus Disney Christ.

Ok I didn't ever say he WAS Walt. I said that he is like him in many ways. You don't have to agree with me, but I think he's great and he'll prove his awesomeness!!!!! < I was joking with that last part but really Matt does rule rock-hard tasty abs washer-board style!!

Don't agree w/ "overrated" (he's done a great job *so far*; he's not done yet)
Definitely agree w/ "excessively hyped" (esp. as of late).

BTW. I don't think "CM Matt" is excessive. I think he would like to think that
he also is a "CM". In one pic that I saw somewhere of him I thought that I saw
a "Matt" CM nametag. Was I dreaming? I think it's a nice tribute to him AND
the plebeian CMs who really do all the things that help make DL experience fantastic!
(Yes, a BIG thank you to all the CMs reading this!)

All CM's even execs (although I doubt most wear theirs anymore) have nametags, at least that's what they told us at orientation. I have seen lots of people at TDA in suits with nametags.

Folks, can we watch the gender steriotyping please? Harris may have been the devil incarnate but the implication that women can't be poweful without being masculine leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
    *end soapbox*

And we gotta remember, Walt wasn't perfect either...
