    Friday the 28th...your estimates?

    Hey Micechat experts,

Today's my birthday and I'm playing hooky from work to hit the parks.

I know it's not a weekend, but it's weekend-ish, with the midnight close and the Friday-night vibe. We'd hoped to get an early start but one glance at when this is being written along with the info that I haven't been to bed yet is a sign THAT ain't going to happen.

So, what do you guys think? How have Fridays been of late? (Other than Spring Break, natch.) We won't be showing up till mid-afternoon, probably 2 or 3...are we wasting our time? Would Sunday be a similar crowd?

Let me know what y'all think!

Not sure. Today is my BFF's b-day, and I feel bad 'cuz I'm going to the park on HER birthday. Hope to see you there.

Don't know, but I'm thinking of going to the park after work, so I hope it's not *too* bad.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Well, last night was "busy", even with very light rain/sprinkling. Friday's are heavier days.

I'd say if you're there early in the morning, you'll find the park really nice, and more crowded as the day goes on.

huh... I didn't think last night was very busy at all.

I wonder how the "Cal Food and Wine Fest" will affect crowds. I know I am going back today to get some "Lobster Quesadillas" and "Beer Battered Cal Halibut" in DCA! Man.... The food they have sounds sooooooo good.

I hope it's not busy either. I went Tuesday and it was fantastic. I'm going tonight after celebrating my brother's birthday (Dang, there are a lot of bdays today!) at Mrs. Knotts.

Yes. I put "busy" in quotes, as it was busy for a Thursday. But it sounds like you were in California Adventure, which may not have been that busy at all.

I can tell you that in Main Street for the parade, and the hub for the fireworks, it was pretty packed -- as always!

DCA was the only park I ran into a line... 45 minutes for Monsters. (Still worth it.)

I didnt make it into Dl until after the parade. Maybe thats why I didn't think it was that busy.

I'm heading down there this evening also, maybe I'll run into some of you! Look for the Pink fuzzy hat and a Micechat sweatshirt!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

I'll post a TR tomorrow or soon, but suffice it to say that crowds were totally manageable and the best birthday ever was had. Thanks!

    Re: Friday the 28th...your estimates?

I got to Disneyland minutes before the Parade of Dreams started on Main Street. And it was a nice, short little visit. Wasn't too crowded at all! But Saturday was another matter. UGLY! Nasty crowded and things just did not go right. Space closed for a bit, they closed the trains for the fireworks over 30 minutes before they were to go on, and that was even after they announced that the fireworks may be cancelled due to winds in the higher elevations. Lucky, the fireworks did show but jeeze...now I know why I don't go on Saturdays! There are WAY TOO MANY kids over there lately that are going in large groups. I thought that only happened on the weekdays?
