single riders needed

I think Disneyland could do with a few more single riders, I don't always go with my friends, and my parents don't like all the rides. I think Space Mountain and Indiana Jones should have them. does anyone else have this same idea?

I thought that Indy and Space already did?

We're a family, so we don't get to partake in the single riders line, but I thought that they already did have them.

To avoid the long lines (back in the day), we did use the single riders line for the Rocket Rods. Most of the time, you at least got to ride with one of your peeps anyway.

Anyway, I'm sure someone more in tune with the program will chime in.

I think Space used to have SR and I know for sure that Indy did.

I think Splash Mountain is the only ride in Disneyland with SR.

Indy used to, but it was removed because it became necessary for everyone to watch the safety video. This also explains why they hold a chunk of the line in the filming room.

Ah, to remember the times when single riders were a new idea, yet now dl only has splash, and dca has it on a few more...

I'm surprised they don't have some way to get everyone to view the video.. Maybe they could do what dino does and have multiple viewing rooms??

I like Single Riders. Even better than Fast Pass.

But adding it to Space Mountain, would the line increase or decrease. I know that HKDL has all three (stand by, fastpass, and single) and I don't know how their lines are ..though they have less visitors than Disneyland.

I think at Disneyland it would be nice, but there isn't much to add it too in aways. DCA has more rollercoasters or rides with one seat left open. Like California Screamin, Soarin over California, or Maliboomer.

Where as DL's popular rides: Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Space, Small World, Matterhorn. There aren't as many left open seats as they fill the groups more often.

I think they need to add the single rider on to Matterhorn(also needs fastpass), Space Mountain, maybe Big Thunder and Indie.

they need to get rid of single rider on mullholland madness.. it's just akward. matterhorn would be akward too and would be extremely ineffective because of how many couples sit 1 to a seat anyways.

space could use a single rider but I'm not sure there's enough open seats for it.. I imagine it would be a very very popular single rider line, moreso than any of the others.

I had read about single rider lines, but then had forgotten about them. When I was at DL this last week, Wolfy999 reminded me that we could ride Splash Mountain a lot quicker using the single rider line. I was really glad the option was available to us! I think some cast members would have to chime in on how many seats are left empty on Space Mountain and Indy.

When I was at Disneyland time before last I used the Splash Mountain Single rider line multiple times (it made it the shortest line in the park... about five minutes) but the last time I was there I couldn't seem to find it
I thought they took it away because of the funky new logs that reduced capacity?

I love the single rider lines - with Splash they would always put you in the back... which was where I wanted to ride anyway
And you know how all those families wait all day to ride and then buy the picture... I loved being the stranger in the on-ride photo

With Splash you go to the Fastpass CM and ask him for a single rider pass - sometimes he'll give you one, sometimes he'll say you don't need one. Then you go through the exit and say you're asingle rider. You'll go up over the bridge and wait until they put ya in a log

A Warning: taking a group in a SR line might take a while, especially on Splash. There is no guaranteed wait time; they just put you where they have space. I have seen many a group leave that line frustrated because they expected to get through quickly with five or six people.

Single Rider lines, Fast passes and Rider Switches should just be abolished from the whole resort. Stuff like that just gives people reason to cheat the system. So yeah, I'm very thankful that Space does not have a single rider line, we don't need it.
