Red Face Disneyland park activity books

    Hi,

I'm surprising my kids and grandfather with a trip to DL right after school ends. Be there Jun 17-25 (geez, thanks for closing down 1/2 the park for some movie event...) and it's the kids first time. They go to a waldorf school, so they don't get much exposure to media and don't have a great deal of knowledge of what DLR is.

Does anyone know where I could get or download a colouring book with the rides and lands of Disneyland?

    Thanks.

    Thanks Melly,

I'm looking for specific ride / theme park pages. The kids know who the characters are, but have no clue about the rides, etc. I thought it would be fun for them to do their art first, then compare it to the real thing.
They would also be able to decide what they wanted to see/do based on some prior knowlwdge.

I know DL can be overwhelming, especially if you have literally NO clue what the big deal is about.

Have you tried just going on Disneyland.com and looking through the rides? They have fun facts and trivia and info on the rides.

    SOME MOVIE EVENT???

You would be considered LUCKY if you could be there for it!

It's the re-opening of the POTC and the movie premier.

SOME folks are excited about it. Obviously, not you. (no offense, different strokes...)

    Have a GREAT trip!

Speaking of...what dates is this happening? I will be there the same time...

NM.. I looked on Disneyland.com and its happening on the 24th.
I wonder how early they will be closing things off if at all..The web page says the park closes at 5:00pm.

    Re: Disneyland park activity books

If Pirates would be open that day, great. It won't be until Monday. By then, I'll be back in the Great White North and back at work.

However, this is the first time in 15 years I've been back, since my honeymoon.

To miss Phantasmic and Pirates for a movie opening that my kids won't see (violence and frightening scenes) is disappointing to me.

After spending some time in the movie exhibition business, it is another time, another life for me. I hope people will have a great time there. I won't miss anything by keeping away that day.

have you ordered the vaction planning video from Disneyland. My 5 yr old just loves to watch it all the time. She loves the rides and the characters. You can get it by going onto Disneyland.com. Either fill out the form or call them.

I tried, but as a Canadian, they will not send out, or even permit me to view online.

You would THINK that Disney would ENCOURAGE people to come to their park, and not make prosective clients have to dig for information.

You should have no problem with them sending you a planning kit. I have WDW, DLR,and WDA. Then I watch, cry a little because I can't go until next summer, and plan my trip
