Good idea. I have just sent them the email below. I don't expect they do anything with it, I would even be surprised they answer it at all, but who knows.
Let me first introduce myself. I am Tonny Schonewille, a dutch student of mechinal engineering. Since I visited Disneyland Paris in 2002, I have become a Disney theme park fan. I have visited Walt Disney World in 2003, but now I thought that Disneyland's 50th anniversary was the perfect opportunity for a first time visit to this sacred place. So here I am, planning a holiday in mid-July to California.
I have been eagerly awaiting what the special events would be during the anniversary weekend, promising myself that I would do anything possible to attend them if I could. Now these events have been announced. First off all, the price is rediculous, definitely not affordable for a student like me. So I don't think I will be buying any of the packages, which is just tough luck I guess, as I understand that even with a golden anniversary, making money is still the top priority at the world's largest entertainment company.
But this is not the point of thi email. What I would like to point out is that, besides the price tag, the offerings are kind of vague and small, in my honest opinion. A few meals and som merchandise sell-offs. This makes me wonder, is that ALL that is being planned for the golden anniversary of the world's very first theme park, of Walt Disney's dream?
There have been rumors on the internet indicating that there might be a 50 hour party during the weekend, just as was done on some of the earlier anniversaries. I understand these were just rumours, wishful thoughts perhaps even, but I really hoped there was some truth in this. In my opinion, a 50 hour party would be the ultimate way to celebrate such a special event.
I understand you cannot give me exact details, but are there at least other things planned for the july 15th-17th dates, other than the alreayd announced merchandise events?
I hope to hear from you soon.
with kind regards,
