Matterhorn for Everest?

I saw on a cable channel a few weeks back a special about the new Everest attraction in Orlando. It looks really cool and hope to someday ride it. Now, I've been on the Matterhorn here at Disneyland countless times and it has become a Disney landmark of sorts. Not only is it the first rollercoaster to ever use steel tubing for track but it's also a one of a kind attraction found no place else in the world. So it got me thinking.....

This is more directed to those of you who have experienced the Everest attraction. Would you trade the Matterhorn for Everest?

I missed experiencing Everest by a few weeks but I wanted to experience the Matterhorn more! I missed is more than a lot of other things I had in front of me in Florida... so go figure!

In both cases, NO WAY!

Everest might be a fun new ride, but it has no history, no nostalgia.

The Matterhorn is an icon. You can't trade an icon!

I would give Matterhorn the Space Mountain treatment (minus failed alternate nighttime experience idea). I mean, I love the ride, but it's pretty rough and I'm young but rough roller coasters just hurt.

As for trading, although I have yet to experience Everest, I would say no way, no matter what.

What about an upgrade to the snow creature within? You would think with all the high tech animatronics they would make it do something more than just raise and lower it's arm.

I have rode Expedition Everest, just a week after officially opening, and as a Disneylander I think E:E was awesome but i don't think I could trade it for matterhorn. Just give the matterhorn a really great update (new special effects in the chain lift, and a new Harold, I think it would be just as good)
