Something Happening with the Mark Twain/Rivers of America?

Anyone know what it could be? Maybe an update to the old river excursion (ie. new animatronics, relighting the old log cabin, etc.).

I normally have my sound turned off, because i plug my ipod into my computer speakers. So i watched this youtube video once without sound, and thought "Did i miss something?" So, i plug in my computer speakers and re-watched, and you cant hear one word they say. The guy in the blue gray is just waving to the crowd on tom sawyers. They could be talking about anything. I know he was joking, but Sambo IS right, sometimes managers at Disneyland just ride rides, just to ride um! And MAYBE discuss maintenance and what not. If you see people in suits walking around and pointing, most of the time you shouldn't read too much into it. Imagineers maybe, but suits, nah.

then again updating the Rivers of America cruise might not be a bad idea

at least bring it up to the Jungle Cruise's quality?

if they do a Fantasmic II that might be the perfect time to try out a few things on the RoA in general but I'm doubting it

Disney "Suits" always seem to have that same look about them, or at least have two or three of these types in every group of Suits; Tall. White. Conservative. WASP-y looking males with pleasant facial expressions.

I can spot 'em a mile away. I wonder what they were talking about?

I think Hector got it right, they were probably not even talking about business at the time, maybe just out enjoying a trip around the rivers of america.

Without knowing anything about these two guys they could be suits in charge of plush toys who are on their lunch break and came to the Mark Twain.

I just moved back to CA after having been away for thirty years and the first thing my wife and I did was to get annual passes to Disneyland. As a kid living in Anaheim, we went to the park all the time and I loved riding the Mark Twain.

I just rode her this past Friday and I have to say that the Rivers of America looks a bit neglected. Mind you it was never a white-knuckle ride but you clearly can hear the hydraulics operating the dog and boy and the forest animals like the moose and deer are covered with duck poop. Also, one of the old keel boats in heading down to Davy Jones locker from the looks of the water inside her. Now I know that the cabins not burning any more since the peace treaty with the natives but they could spice/spruce up the river action a bit.

All in all, it's nice to be home.

I wonder if they are planning to fix things around the back end, like the boy and dog hydraulic noises, while the entire river is closed during June for the pirates premiere. That would be a good time to fix the little things preparing for the summer crowds while the river craft is tied up during the preperation and take down of the stuff they are going to put up. I don't think suits ride things just for fun. They are up to something.

I know it's probably nothing, but I just wanted to see what kind of rumors I could get started by posting such a vague video.

And I agree that they probably had some purpose for riding. They tend not to go on pleasure days during working hours.

The executives aka E-staff, "Suits", upper management, were probably going over the plans for the Pirates II Red Carpet event. The area around rivers of America is going to be rigged with a huge screen and there will be bleachers all around a good portion of the river in front of New Orleans square.
The even is in a few weeks so this is the time to review and finalize all plans for management.
