Favorite 'Off the beaten track' attraction or activity

Since I'll be an AP holder soon, I want to do some things around the parks that I wouldn't normally do when seeing the parks commando style. Some of the items on my list to see/do are:
    -Golden Dreams Movie
    -Tortilla Factory Tour
    -Billy Hill and the Hillbillies
    -Tarzan's Tree House

So what is everyone's favorite things to see/do in the parks that one might not normally see/do??

Not sure if I am a good source of info for this topic or not. However when I went to Disneyland 20 years ago it was so crowded. So there was amople time to walk around and see the sights. One thing that we did that many people would skip over (I assume) was hanging around King Arthur's Carousel and trying our hand at pulling the Sword in the Stone. I was four years old and it was a thrill for me to try to do something I saw in the Disney movie.

The entire DLR is fair game to me. I enjoy looking at remnants of former attractions (skyway stations, Peoplemover track, Rainbow Caverns vantage points from TSI), following paths that lead to nowhere (or CM doors at the very least), and looking behind me on rides-- not to spoil the illusion-- to see things from a different vantage point.

I like going up to the disney gallery and looking around. The best part of having an ap is being able to take your time! Also the soup bowls next to pirates are excellent.

    Congrats and have fun!!

    Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

IMHO, one of the most underrated places on resort property..... just ask Villains Fan!

The Animation Building in DCA hosts is a "What Disney Character are you" test inside the Beast's study. Whenever I go the lines to sit in the chairs to take the test are long so I only stop when I have extra time... but its fun and worth the wait IMO.

Don't just walk by the Disneyland 50 Years exhibit and film on Main Street - there are better exhibits there than in the Disney Gallery, and a great film also.

For years I skipped over the Animation Building and the Hyperion Theater in DCA - don't. Both of those are worth seeing.

In Disneyland, take your time to explore Tom Sawyer Island, and ride the Columbia or the Mark Twain. Explore Innovations, and ride the Monorail and Disneyland Railroad. Do the Storybook Boats and Casey Jr.'s circus train. See all the parades in both parks at least once, and give an old favorite, the Tiki Room, another chance.
