Lots of new photos from Cinco de Mayo weekend

While a few of these ended up in the weekly MousePlanet Disneyland Resort update, there is a lot more stuff to see...

    First, from Saturday....

    http://darkbeer.smugmug.com/gallery/1433977

The removal of the Monsters, Inc. doors from the Main Entry Plaza, lots of Food and Wine stuff, painting at Ariel's Grotto, Crowd Shots (light crowds at both parks for a weekend, DCA lighter than DL), Lots of photos of the work in the Sub Lagoon and Club Buzz areas...

    And from Sunday...

More Food and Wine stuff, Some character shots, The Jolly Trolley is out, Lots of photos of the new Dapper Dans, A look at the Block Party Bash (got stuck at the crosswalk while it passed), and for a change of pace, no ducks, but a VERY cute Guide Dog in Training at DCA instead

    Oh no!!!

Are you saying that the guide dog was actually a pointer in disguise, and the ever-present full-dressed camo guys did enter the Park with hunting waterfowl in mind??? And now we don't have any ducks to feed our greasy fries to???

    LOL!

Great report and pix, by the way!

    Thanks!

That's okay. Somehow I feel that Crazy Legs has the duck pictures covered!

I know that Crazy Legs has great taste...

One of these days, I need to hook up with her at Knott's, and introduce her to Missy and Petey II, two of my favorite ducks.

Amazing, but they know me.... Lisa tried to feed them, and they didn't really care, but when I came over and said Hi to her, she became interested in getting some Cheerios!

Actually, we need to have a MiceChat meet over at Knott's sometime soon!

That's a great idea, and I'm up for it!

Plus I love ducks. Especially with an orange glaze and some wild rice... yumm.

Great pictures! Regarding the view of DCA from the Monorail ... can it look more empty? Was this perhaps before the park opened for the day?

All my photos are date/time stamped.

I took photos starting around 4:30 to just after 5 PM.... I dropped in before meeting up with someone.

So that was DCA at around 5 PM.

Re: Lots of new photos from Cinco de Mayo weekend

I was there this past weekend. Great pics and I love this website.
I was a Disneyland nut as a kid but haven't been to the park in about 9 years. I was(and still am) kicking myself for not going back earlier. I have been reading about all the changes and it was fun to take in all the additions(and closures) of the past decade at once.

Sorry - I didn't see the time stamp on the photos. I'll look more closely next time. DCA looks like a ghost town!
