Obligatory photos of the drained Motor Boat Cruise! 04/08/05

We've got sludge people! Sludge photos for all! Shut her down Jim, she's suckin' mud!

Now here is a curious photo of a Cast Member climbing OVER the construction wall surrounding the Submarine Lagoon. I have no idea what he was up to.

Speaking of which, if construction walls are your thing, here is a gallery of photos taken on April 8th of the pretty plain, cheap, blue walls around the Submarine Lagoon, The Motor Boat Cruise, Starcade, Strollers, Crapoventions and some Toon Town attractions.

Finally, check out the new bright yellow tents for the Bag Check at the Main Entrance. They're much nicer than the old ones, but you'll need to wear your sunglasses

I hope my poor photography skills have brightened your day!

is the tent for the Middle area... or just DL.... (I always wondered is it one/2 bag check then DCA or DL entrance.. or DL bag check.. then DCA bag check....)

Nice sludge... Mabey they are cleaning it.... and not removing it???

(Do something with the walls... they are plain and need something else....)

The tents are on either side of the entrance plaza with the two parks in between! It's not hard to miss them now

Unless you are planing on waking up Real early to get in line for these to get in line for DL on July 17... and currently live in FLA.. (Why not build permanent ones like at WDW.... MK & MGM are far outside the entrance.. (Epcot & AK are right there..)

Use MK's idea and design it with 4 coverings... 2 -------DL/DCA------2

Inbetween the 2 on each side would be the No Bag line.....

Then you would see the families who give each bag to one person.. while the rest gothrough the no bad line....

That would work.... that way you could open or close the spots for more or less people to get to the turn styles at DL or DCA....

There are two sets of bag-checks - from the West (Downtown Disney & the Mickey & Friends Tram) side of the esplanande, and from the East (Lion King Trams/Harbor Blvd.) side. Disneyland to the North, DCA to the South.

Everyone in the central plaza between the two parks has cleared the security checks, so you can cross over between the two parks without another bag check.

Only problem is, if you want to walk from Harbor Blvd. to shop or dine in Downtown Disney you have to clear security to walk across.

These photos show the track for the motorboat cruise. It's sad to see that a functioning ride could have been there and they did nothing with it. I hope it doesn't become a playground.

BTW - anyone notice the duck on the top of the tarp in the 1st picture? Looks like he can't believe it either...

well Al said they'd fill it in and leave it as space for expansion in the years beyond 2008 (should they decide to build a fantasyland attraction)

that track really didn't support that great of a ride anyways

Wow, I think the very last time I went on that old motorboat ride was...oh, about 1988-'89, or so...when it was "Gummi Bears" themed for the Disney Afternoon Avenue. Man do I miss that. ^^; Anyhoo, thanks for the photos.

Yeah, bring back the Gummi Bears!!

Is there any word as to what could possibly be going there, aside from this horrific playground rumor?

You and me both! The thought just makes my stomach turn. The only thing that bugs me more, is the thought of a Woody-based Frontierland expansion (but that is for another thread entirely).

To quote from "Monty Python and the Holy Grail": Dennis! There's some lovely muck over here!

Maybe they can get some of the airbrush artists they used on the new Disney plane and have them work over some of the longer-standing walls (i.e., Submarines) and give them a nice treatment before the 50th starts?
