    Starcade repainted

I noticed yesterday that the bottom floor of the starcade was repainted. Those '70s style sports graphics are gone and replaced with space scenes. If you look upstairs, you notice they started repainting the walls blue and white. The old space mural with the astronauts is still up there.

Unfortunately, yes. As well as the white tile around the planters.

I've always wondered why someone would go to Disneyland and want to play arcade games.

I've always wondered why some of us go to Disneyland just to hang out, and not ride a single attraction all day!

Since they are repainting and freshening the Starcade up, I think its safe to say that they are opening this entire area up again. Now the question is what? Will it be an arcade again? Will it become another pin trading spot? Or will it be something else? What does everybody think?

I took some rather crude images of the new Starcade murals and ramp, but it's such a zoo in there that I gave up after just two photos... and bad photos at that:

Maybe this can give you folks some fuzzy (and I do me FUZZY) ideas about what's in there now. I too am curious about the top level of the Starcade.

Pin trading upstairs would be fine with me. Gives the pin traders a comfy area to "work" and get those tables out of the way in Store Command.

So is the X-wing still up stairs? Maybe they should move all the X-Box and Play station games from inoventions (I think thats what it's called) and put them up there.

(...not really intending to throw this thread off subject...)
Ahhh...that is, indeed, the magic of Disneyland. You can spend the entire day...not ride a single ride...and not spend a single dime...and still have a fun-filled day!

The X-wing is still hanging up there. It looks really dusty and the ceiling is looking rather scary. We should be able to see the x-wing when space mountain reopens.

I say make the area a mini-DisneyQuest. They could put in a bank of virtual space mountain simulators up there. Also put in POTC and the magic carpet VR game.
