We went to Disneyland in the beginning of March for my daughter's 5th birthday. This trip was a long time in planning and we were all very excited. Needless to say, that I was distressed to fall ill on the afternoon of our second day there. At first I thought I had a muscle spasm in my shoulder so I went to First Aid for an ice pack. While I was there the nurses were wonderful with advice and care.


When I started getting worse (I ended up having pneumonia), my children started to get really nervous and worried about me. One of the nurses left for a while and when she came back she brought Mary Poppins with her! So while I was being taken care of by the nurses the original Super Nanny was spending time with my children. The personal interaction in a quiet place really helped calm my children down and make them feel better about Mommy being sick. Talk about a "Spoonful of Sugar"!


The care and advice the nurses gave me and the attention they paid to my children was all top-notch. They and Mary Poppins really helped salvage our trip. I mean, if you are going to get pneumonia, get it at Disneyland where wonderful nurses and Mary Poppins herself can take care of you!

From another Disney website, in a column about guest experiences with cast members. This really warmed my heart. Disneyland truly is a unique place. That is the nicest thing I've heard this week.

Disneyland is much more than a theme park; it is home to many stray felines. Disneyland is much more than a theme park; it is a place where at its gates, the economy of local oriental food establishments (hong kong chinese) are boosted to new heights thanks to unsuspecting, broke tourists.

i dont know what the official "definition" of a theme park or amusement park is, but to me Disneyland is more of a "theme park". everything in disneyland is so detailed and (almost) nothings left out. however the handfull of other parks ive been to are just like walking down this boring cement paved ground with fences everywhere, just to get to the next vaguely themed ride. to me those are "amusement" parks. anyone else think similarly?

i wish they sold churros in half sizes, theyre impossible to break in half to share. by the end you both look like someone threw a handfull of sand at you.

Disneyland is an escape from the outside world. It is a place that we can enter and forget about our cares, and worries. We can pretend to be a kid again, when we are older than the park itself. We can smile, and laugh, and skip, and spin, eat popcorn, and watch the stray kernels get collected by the cleanup crew.

Yeah, the Disneyland administration takes remarkably good care of its guests, especially in comparison to other parks.

I would bet your wheels of steel that they're talking about Churros. They are so good. I wish they would FedEx DLR snacks, that would help with world peace.
