Hang Loose Mickey Ears Names

I was wondering, for anybody who knows. Are you able to get your name embroided onto this type of mickey ears?



I know some hats can't be embroided, because sometimes there's a little hat on it. But this one doesn't have a hat. But the color is not solid, so would that effect it.

...wow...good question. i don't see why not since it is the same felt fabric as the usual hat, but you're right in that the pattern may make it a hard candidate for personalization.

yes they do. there's a whole rack of them in the Emporium.

Yes I have a pair of them. They do sell them at Disneyland, they are greater looking in person, lol.

But this that makes me doubt that they can embroid it is because I tried to have a tinkerbell pair of ears embroided for my cousin, it had no hats or anything. It just had flowers in the back. And they said that they could not do it on that kind of hat. So i thought that the same rules applied to these ears.

Do they only embroider on solid colors?

Unless it says we cannot embroider this hat.. (like they did for the 7/17 hats) then you should be able to get it embroidered...

They don't embroider the children Mickey Ears that have Pluto on the back because it will mess with Pluto's picture.

Oh...and just a quick correction figment, it was 7/17.

I think I will wait for them to show up in the Outlet Store (see other thread by me) and purchase them at 1/2 price. Take it back to Disneyland and have them embroider the following:

Shaka Braddah!

or

Hapa Haole!

If the hat has white material inside of it, then it usually can't be written on. The Tink hat can't be written on because the writing would cover either Tink or the flowers on the back. That's the reason management gave us.

Oh OK, thanks. Can I just take my already purchased ears and take them to any store in Disneyland that does embroider and have them embroided?

Or do I need a reciept of my purchase of them?

Ears that CAN be embroidered currently sold:
Classic Black
Classic Pink
Classic Blue
Classic Red
My First Ears, pink & blue
Minnie pink floral
Pirates
Gold


Ears that CANNOT be embroidered currently sold:
Tinkberbell
Mickey & Freinds, Pluto on back
Princess ears with streamers
Hang Loose

The reason of why some hats are nixed are: the writing would compromise the integrity of the character/design (hang loose, mickey & freinds) and/or the hat is too thick for the machines to adequately deal with (princess, tinkerbell).
They CAN be written on with the embroidery machine in Disney Showcase, but it is $7 a line. Certain bucket hats can also be written on the standard hat machines, but they need to be bought in Disneyland that day and cannot be white (white thread on a white hat=waste of time for everyone).

Hope this helps, when in doubt, just ask a CM- preferably a hatwriter since sometimes CMs get contradictory information.

awww...i guess no emboidery for that hat. oh well, thanks for the info!
