Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.

Interesting, some of that work I had not seen before.

I love has they are all drawn full of people. One concept that never materialised.

    Kidding of course.

    Thanks for these.

Out of curiosity, any reason why you have two of these threads?

DCA actually looks good in those pics. I'm glad they chose to do an unique park instead of cloning Disney-MGM Studios.

    Re: DCA concept art

Being that I'm currently reading the Imagineering coffee table book about concept art and models, this is kind of timely for me.

I'll disagree, to an extent, with the above sentiment. DCA seemed all right to me until they got caught up in the agriculture aspect. With what authority can Disney speak on things like farm tours and wine making? It would be like if Knott's tried to take you on a tour of a car manufacturing plant instead of a berry farm.

Disney would have been better off creating a movie park (although coming up with a more inventive icon than a replica of something a few miles away) than what they did.

If they wanted agriculture, they should have tried to expand on the themes they had touched on in The Land at EPCOT, rather than making a "it's a farm no it's a winery no it's a vintage airport no it's a..." slapshod identity crisis that has been the Golden State region.

You make good points. I like the concept art of DCA, but its still not as imaginative as it should have been. You can still clearly see that the park wasn't anything spectacular - look at the Bountiful Farm art - its as blatantly boring and with nothing to do as the actual area ended up being.

Here, look at some tractors, everybody!

    Pfft. Lame.

Off topic, but I'm going to miss your last signature, MickeyMania. The Space Mountain image was jsut too cool. Would you happen to have a bigger version of that photo?
