    Skyway Station

Does anyone know if they use the skyway station for anything? Storage right? Also, do they always turn on the lights in teh station at night? because I was riding Casey Jr. one night and I saw the lights in the station were on and it made me think if they were doing anything in there.

    Thanks.

I was there a few months ago and the station was lit up. We asked a CM about it and she said they sometimes use it for private parties and that night they were using it for a CM retirement party.

It's actually a "cat" house most of the time!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

I know what they SHOULD do with the Skyway Station. They should open up a Skyway Cafe! They can serve drinks, like coffee, espresso, hot cocoa and smoothies. I remember the view from up there was pretty cool.

I used to take pictures from that vantage point because the view was so nice. A restaurant in the chalet would work really well. I'd certainly eat there.

It'd be a bit small for anything useful I think. If they served food up there it'd be incredibly low capacity.

    Re: Skyway Station

I think I remember reading somewhere that the skyway station was a restaurant at one time, but since it is located a ways from the beaten path (up some stairs too) and is right next to Village Haus, the skyway eatery never got off the ground, pun intended.

I know for sure that one time passing by the area, I heard a bunch of loud noises and applause and camera flashes up in the station, so it certainly must be used for CM parties from time to time. I've seen it lit up too.

I've heard of it being used for Cast parties before. That seems like the truth.

"Sweetish?" Do you mean, as in the Country of Sweeten?

Upper Sweeten is beautiful, but I prefer Sweeten Lo.

    Re: Skyway Station

Yeah, I heard that there isnt much room for anything up there. However, maybe it could just be a sit-down reting place. It's in the shade, so it'd work. but ti'd probably be very crowded if its hot. They could put maybe a juice bar up there. Not a restaraunt, cause of the size, but maybe like a stand or something.

    Who knows, time will tell...
