I enjoy Storyteller's Cafe. Fewer "classic" characters, perhaps, but the food is mostly very good and you can choose between a la carte and the buffet. We chose it for a 4 y.o.'s big birthday bash next Monday.
Plus, I can counteract my unhealthy bacon obsession and eggs Benedict addiction with the yummy grilled asparagus and good selection of fruit. I also like the fact that it is less of a hike back to the park compared to Goofy's Kitchen or Lilo & Stitch's Aloha Breakfast.
My kids like Goofy's best. Better chance of getting my money's worth for my PICKY eaters. Usually has LOTS of characters too. The last time we went, there were 8 different characters that came to the table. My friend enjoys quizzing the characters about themselves. The ones that aren't allowed to talk will answer by writing on the table.
I think it partly depends on the age of the children. When we went to Goofy's we had a 2 yo and a 4 yo. They obviously were not old enough to go get their own food. So by the time we got them all set then a character would come by for a picture. Me and hubby never got to eat any hot food. We went back and got more food but then Goofy and Donald started dancing and playing with pots and pans in the middle of the resteraunt. The kids loved that. I would probably take them when they are a little older. The kids had a wonderful time but Hubby and I did not really eat we just had really expensive coffee.
The next day we went to Ariels and because they serve you at the table we actually got to eat, and take all of the cute pictures.
"You can't judge a book by its cover."
"No, but you can tell how much it is going to cost."
I love the character breakfasts. The story tellers cafe is definitely the best one out there. Just a word to the wise, if a friend/brother/character eats too much for his/her/their own good, be nice, stomach aches are no fun
I've only been to one, Goofy's Kitchen. I never saw my son smile so much, and he had a new favorite character -- the Mad Hatter! It was very fun, and we saw Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Alice in Wonderland, Chip and/or Dale, and the Mad Hatter, of course.
