Just a quick question about the meet-up... my friends whom I am travelling with are not Mice Chatters.... are they welcome to join us? (I don't see it being an issue.... but just thought I'd ask.)

I say the more the merrier! But whoever listens to me?! "Any group that would want me as a member is no group I would want to be a part of."

The Noon meet has traditionally been open to all, in fact many non-Mice Chat folks show uip....

So please come, and bring your friends!!!!!

Deogge's Mom and myself will be at the Hub at Noon, then move over to the Plaza Gardens Stage area for a 1 PM meet

Making the best of a great situation...

I voted for July 17th afternoon, both because it's the only day I'm sure I'll be there, and the distinct possibility that the park will be ultra-packed that day. A meet with you great people would beat standing in line!

Heh... one could say many MiceChatters show up to the ADD meet

The noon meets rarely result in a group photo, but I imagine it will for this particularly eventful day.

It's worth noting, btw, that many folks are discussing dressing up in 50's wear in honor of the occasion, myself included.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

Yes and I love the dress you made. I think I will be wearing my ears and that is as festive as I will get. <shrug> Any movement on specific times or are we still waiting? It's a month away now!

Well, I guess it's pretty obvious that THE BOB, Monorail_Blue, and myself will be unable to show on either the 15th or the 17th, but maybe we can hang out after our shifts!

We haven't discussed times as of yet, but I do agree that a noon meet is most appropriate. I would suggest thought that we may want to rethink the plan of having it at The Hub. If DL has any kind of ceremony on the 17th at the Castle, The Hub will be blocked off at noon.

I would suggest that we choose an alternate location, preferably away from any sort of food establishments. Maybe Fantasia Gardens. Or the quiet area over near Fowlers Harbor (behind Mark Twain/Columbia Dry Dock).
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.

Maybe we should wait and see what Disney actually does...

Heck, this is a day celebrating traditions and the Noon meet has tradtionally been at the Hub...

I would like to see it remain, especially since not everyone who attends is from MiceChat. It would be hard to get the word out....

Even with the small ceremony for the 49th bday, The Hub was blocked off for a couple hours after the ceremony ended. I understand tradition, but we should have a back up plan in place.

If the hub's blocked off, then how about at Plaza Pavilion? Over by the pianist (who will hopefully be Rod by that time...)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

If a back-up plan is needed, it should be as close to the Hub as possible, as not everyone who attends the Noon meet is from MiceChat and it will be hard to get the word out...

The "traditional" back-up location has been the Coke Corner area.

Depends on the Parade schedule. Do they have table on the upper portion of the porch where the piano is now? If not, we may want to find a spot that has more shade.

Yes, they have the far back deck table, overlooking Coke Corner.
