Best Day and Time for a 50th Meetup

I know I won't be able to make it Friday evening, neither will a few others. Have some Wicked plans in place.

If there seems to be majority around a few different times, maybe we could have a series of meets over the course of the weekend. That way, people who have other obligations at other times can show up at meets that do not interfere with their schedule.

It doesn't matter, I voted for Sunday in the afternoon, but I'm not as cool as you other guys and I don't have that much pull.

Just remember, I'll be the drunk guy with his clothes on! On Friday, Saturday AND Sunday!

Lets just take over the Hub July 17th. and set up a base camp there. Then whenever we see some Disney exec, like Matt Ouimet, walk by we should batter him with such demands as "Bring back the Peoplemover!" and "Put the astro jets back up ontop of the peoplemover track!" and "No more pixar toons in Disneyland!"

I realize it will be crowded and it sounds as if a lot of the regulars to the meets don't want to have one as much as those who have never been to one. I hope we can work something out hehe.

I think a lot of people are up for a MiceChat meet, with a nice mix of people who have been to meets and others who haven't. Some people have plans that cannot be changed on the 17th but are willing to come on another day during the festivities to meet fellow MiceChatters.

I don't think it has anything to do with not "wanting to have a meet"

as much as alot of people already have plans for the 17th and have had them for quite along time.

Hmmm, in looking over the responses so far, I see that most of the mods and admins are also jammed busy on the 17th. I know all of us would love to meet MiceChatters, but it's looking like most of us can't make it on the actual birthday. So please make the meet on the 16th.

It wouldn't be wise to piss off all the mods at once, would it? :devil:

Yeah, I think the 16th would be better. It would be less crowded (sort of)

and most of us have things we want to do on the 17th, including all of the things disney will have planned.

I decided a few weeks ago that I just want to "be" there on the 17th, with no delusions of actually riding anything since I'm sure the park will sell out by midmorning. But miss the 50th?!? I don't think so... I'd regret it forever. I know I'll be getting up way before the crack of dawn, and waiting around forever, but this truly is a once-in-a-lifetime event, especially since the park originally opened before I was born.

I'm up for meeting any time, at the park or outside. But I'll be there at town square on Sunday Morning.

The AP's (unless premium) are blocked out on the 16th and 17th. Unless the mods and other locals don't have premium AP's, the only date they can go is the 15th. That's also the date I voted for since it will be the opening day for Space Mountain and the fact that it's still part of the "50th Weekend". Hopefully, there will be less crowds and other Disney-fanatic meets there that day to make our time more enjoyable.. just my thoughts..
