But seriously, I think The Shed is a compelling enough attraction on its own without a mascot and the requisite heavy-handed merchandise tie-ins.

I hope the APers don't monopolize The Shed for those of us spending our hard-earned dollars on a special trip to DL. Camping out with their blankets and folding chairs. It's not what Walt would have wanted! "To all who enter this happy Shed: Welcome. This Shed is YOUR Shed." Not "this Shed is a private oasis for annual pass holders."

I heard that it was originally going to be a Shack, but Knotts Berry Farm complained that it was too similar to their former Haunted Shack attraction, so the imagineers had to go back and retheme it to it's current Shed status in order to avoid a costly lawsuit. Personally, I would have loved to see the Shack, the Shed just isn't the same.

I am planning a trip to Disneyland in August. Perhaps they will open a fancy restaurant in the Shed. I Shed put it on my list for Advance Reservations.

You can call ahead for reservations, up to 7 days in advance I think.

I was in the shed just yesterday and it went down, I got ton's of HUGE pictures of the shed with it's lights on. I'm making a dvd of it and selling it on ebay.
