Re: Disneyland Sacred Cow Roast: Why your favorite rides suck.

Hehe, this is by far the best thread I've seen out of you!

Alice in Wonderland: Yes, so utterly cute, and so...uh, how about random? The ride follows the sequence of events fairly closely, but after going outside and escaping the queen, and then coming back to a trippy Cheshire Cat and a Merry Unbirthday, you just come out going, "What the hell happened?" Really Disney, let's "wake up"! hehe. Ah, but this is still my most favorite Fantasyland dark ride, even after feeling incredibly claustrophobic

Pretty sure it has something to do with those mushrooms.
    "What the hell happened?"
    Go ask Alice...when she's ten feet...taaallllll

Oh, and has anyone else had enough "mountains" for awhile? The Matterhorn was good, but it seems like everything built since the late 70's is This or That Mountain.

Clever use of something the Imagineers call "forced perspective" makes them look more fun than they really are.

I hear they're going to put a few rocks around the Haunted Mansion and rename it "Slash Mountain" in honor of Constance.

Thank Walt Iago is only at WDW. Disneyland is still the original.

I hate how all my favorite rides have Disappeared - and I REALLY miss the original parking lot! A Lot!!

Rode it once, thinking, "It can't be as lame as it looks."

    Silly me.

Yes, friends. The "Golden Zephyr." More like the "Brown Fart."

Re: Disneyland Sacred Cow Roast: Why your favorite rides suck.

This is the kind of snarky and purposeless thread that gives real people a genuine reason for thinking that folks like us who talk about Disney on the Internet have too much free time on our hands and not enough brains in our heads.

Let me add that I like the Golden Zephyr. Not everyone is interested in every ride that moves being a screamer. There's something to be said for the majestic quality of the Zephyr--and it's suitable for most ages so parents and kids can enjoy it together. It's a nice ride and, since they've fixed the cabling several years ago, it now also operates on most days.
