Kingdom Hearts characters?

A few months ago, I saw on a message board a photo somebody had taken on Halloween with Sora from Kingdom Hearts and Goofy and Donald dressed in their Kingdom Hearts outfits. My oldest son saw this picture and got really excited about meeting Sora and telling him he's his "biggest fan". My oldest son loves Kingdom Hearts and has played the game from start to finish 8 times, and is now on his 9th round, and has just gotten his 5 year old brother into the game, too. They had their last day of school today and we rented Kingdom Hearts 2 tonight, and I know that's all they'll be doing for the next few days. I haven't seen any pictures or heard of Sora being in the park since Halloween. Does anybody know if he's still around? My sons have never wanted anything to do with any of the characters in the park except for Pluto and Max (which is odd, since I don't think they've ever even seen anything with Max in it), and have made a habit of hiding under the table from characters at character meals, but they both really want their picture with Sora. Are we out of luck?

I found a picture of Sora on Google...I'm really dissapointed, because he REALLY needs to be a face character, NOT a mascot like one. Anyhoo...I *think* this was taken at WDW...can anyone confirm?:

There was a pic of Goofy and Donald too, but I'm not sure if I should post them. Not sure what the terms of service are on posting pics from google. ^^;

Woot! I was told by another micechatter that there was no Sora character. Looks like there was at one point. Still, I agree he needs to be a face character, the mask is ugly.

Well now I can't seem to find the picture I saw originally. I did find some pictures of Donald and Goofy in their Kingdom Hearts gear, but it's from WDW. I know the first picture I saw SAID it was from Disneyland, but I'm guessing it must have really been WDW, because I can't find any pictures of the characters from Disneyland. Better yet, if Disney was really smart, they would do a Kingdom Hearts Character Meal. I am sure that it would be a real hit, with boys, girls, and the adults too.

The parks are behind, sometimes, in their thinking.

Huh?

Goofy and Donald has always belonged to Donald... so that only leaves one character, Sora. And I believe that even though he is Square-designed, Sora and the other original characters of the Kingdom Hearts games belong to Disney.

I love Kingdom Hearts! Now that it's finally summer break I am going to get 2. I would love to see Sora, Donald, and Goofy at the park.

I'm not sure who owns what, but I do know that Disney owns the soundtrack since they were able to play it at Video Games Live in Seattle. They were not allowed by Squaresoft to play music from the Final Fantasy series unfortunately. Disney allowed VGL to play the music and had scenes from the Disney movies in the game on the big screen. As far as the characters go I dont know who owns them. I would not surprise me if they are co-owned by Disney and Square-Enix but I believe the characters from the FF games are Square owned. Perhaps it was a one time deal, or Sora was not popular enough to appear again (though it might be a good time to try him out again).
