Re: Does HOney I Shrunk The Audience ever change???

The film will never change so long as we keep encouraging the bad behaviour. Spare the rocket rods spoil the film, is what I always say.

It's about science. This is the company that's running experiements on the island.

Its not just a "jungle show". But it might look that way if you haven't seen it. It would totally fit in to TL.

to be honest the only reason i ever saw that show in the first place was because it was in an air-conditioned building with a place to sit down for a spell.

i suspect that's true for a lot of other people as well.

but i remember being a kid and being fascinated with captain EO...i think it just needs to be something more exciting and thrilling. rick moranis doesn't excite and thrill me.

Could someone explain to me what HISTA is about?

I mean I know its about Wayne, but what actually happens during the film (Ie. show scenes)? Just curious since I have never seen the show.

Wayne's shrinking machine shrinks the audience and his kid picks the audience up like a box.

I'm not wasting my precious Disneyland time on such a dumb film!

Now Golden Dreams at DCA I can watch because the ending is just so beautiful, but I have heard overally HISTA isn't that great of a show, so I have no curiousuty to see it.

But o well, (just wondering) is it in 3D?

Actually, it's not that bad.. in fact, I used to like it (the first dozen times
    I saw it).

The problem is that it is so old and that the franchise that it's about
is now long out of public eye. Also there are a lot of other 3D shows
out there as well. (yes, it's in 3D). In fact, I think this is true about
all 3D movies, they get old (eventually).

If you think Golden Dreams is ok, (I agree the ending is nice, but still think
the whole thing is a bit much; hey, I like the film!), then you should go see HISTA. it's nowhere
as bad as some people make it out to be.

Well, since you have no curiosity in seeing it, I don't see the need to tell you about it.

Just want to say: it's a good show. Once. Got a lot of fun elements, and it's always fun to see a little kid run out screaming about some interesting effect. Not good enough to waste precious Disneyland time a second time. That's all.

Re: Does HOney I Shrunk The Audience ever change???

"Honey" is easily the worst attraction at Disneyland, and that is saying something considering that Innoventions and Winnie the Pooh are there now.

Wayne Szalinski is getting an "Inventor of the Year" award from the Imagination Institute for his incredible shrinking machine, but during a demonstration the auditorium containing the audience to the ceremony accidentally gets shrunk. The problem is that the show is full of bad dialogue, bad acting, and a random series of lowbrow 3-D tricks. The Szalinski clan, additionally, are far too connected to contemporary reality to easily fit in Tomorrowland.

"Captain EO", conversely, had music and fantasy, and it was set in an otherworldly and futuristic environment.

I think very highly of "Golden Dreams", though. It's one of the few true Disney attractions in D.C.A.

Then maybe I will see it.

I just hate going into Tomorrowland- its such an a ugly state right now.
