I am a fanatic about Disneyland history. I read anything I can get my hands on about Disneylands land procurement, construction, opening and subsequent operation over the years. Recently, it occured to me that some people may be indifferent to Disneylands past. Let us know how you feel about it.
Disneyland history matters alot to me. My family has a history that goes with Disneyland. My grandfather was one of the painters that worked on the construction of the castle. and its cool to see the things that my parents saw as they grew up on tv.
Disneyland past is interesting, but what matters MORE for me is Disneyland future. Simply because I cant ride on rides that no longer exist.
I love every tidbit of Disneyland history I can get my brain on.
I am just now becoming interested in fanatical sense about the history of the company and the parks but I have always loved it. I figure all of my interests are both emotional and intellectual so I should persue more intellectual aspects of my interest in Disney.
Disneylands history is very important to me. I read books and watch old tv shows all about Disneyland. I have this one friend in SoCal who tells me something new about Disneyland everytime I'm down there. I have learned alot from him within the past 3 years. :D

I feel the same way any tidbits of info I can soak up Ill take it if it's fact. The future of Disney in this day and age concerns me. This is the only place I can talk about it.I love the stories in books that I have read on Walt Disney himself and the Disneyland Park, not the resort.Quote:

I'm only 26 and didn't grow up in Southern California so I didn't get to grow up with the park. I do however love the park and being able to go back and see how the park has grown and evolved in 50 years. I have several of the old wall maps of the park (I love maps) just seeing what rides were where in the days prior to my being able to be there is just fun for me. I also love being able to see some of the old attractions on dvd as well with the extinct attractions dvds.
Yeah, some of the aftermarket dvd's are pretty cool.
I absolutely love Disneyland history! I remember my first Disneyland book I think from 1989. I was just mesmerized by all the facts and time lines it had.
