    Question TSI's Burning Cabin?

Does anyone know if they're going to bring back the burning cabin any time soon on Tom Sawyer's Island? I always thought that that was a cool surprise gem for riders that take trips around TSI.

Anyone have any pictures of it?

    I say bring it back.

I think it would be cool if they opened up that whole side of the Island with a few more trails. I don't know if it was costing too much to keep the propane going throughout the day, but it used to look VERY cool at night from the train.

Looks like Disney performed an Extreme Makeover: Cabin Home Edition.

The flames were too "non-PC" since they insinuated that the injuns started the fire, and for goodness sakes we know that we don't dare duplicate a fictional story, let alone any resemblance of factual history, just for a little entertainment, without "insulting" any particular group of people.

HOGWASH if you ask me, but then again, nobody did...

This type of nonsense is just a crying shame.

Haha yeah it is too bad. But WDW still has theirs, river pirates set it on fire. Luckily for us no groups like "Proud Descendant of River Pirate Veterans" or something like that has come to say "offended!".

Our roof is still on fire, and we let the MF burn.

true and this is probably proof that the fire is not out for PC purposes

I've herad rumors that the gass line out to the island fire has been rusted over so it can no longer function and that it would require draining the river and digging up the pipe to fix it

I really wish they would though even if they only let the fire burn during the peak seasons and left it off the rest of the year

A few years ago I asked someone if that cabin used to burn or did I have a crazy misinformed mind. They told me I was crazy but I was RIGHT! Bring back my sanity! ...er... bring back the burning cabin!

That's also what I've heard, but for the life of me, I can't remember where I heard/read that.

This is the first mention I've seen that the PC police are at the root of the fire going out.

The PC police did hit it because it used to be "Indians set it on fire". Whether that is why it is out remains to be discussed.

You know I saw a picture of the old setup somewhere online where the settler was spread out on top of a tree stump with arrows in his back. I wish I knew where I saw that....
