Should Disneyland sell tours of Walt's Apartment to AP's?

Just a thought after reading the thread about AP lounges.

    Just imagine it...
You roll up to the Tour Center... lay down your $35 and your AP, and voila, you're set to go on the next tour.

At the appointed time, you meet the Tour Guide, and are escorted backstage and upstairs to Walt's Apartmnet where you receive a 45 minute tour with all of the pictures you can take. After that, you head out to the patio for refreshments and enjoy the view on Main Street and the Parade from a very special vantage point.

Why not? So long as it could be done without damaging the historic nature of the site/furnishings.

And bring back Walt's other office "on loan" to WDW too...

I've been in there. There really isn't that much stuff left in there that was in there when Walt was alive.
They could certainly re-create the original apartment with no problem at all.

Nah. Some things should remain special.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

    Why just AP'ers???

If you are going to open it up to the publuc, include ALL of the guests that are willing to pay for the tour, not just AP'ers.

No wonder non-AP'ers are pissed off...

(and yes, I'm an AP'er and have been since 1987)

Yes, as an APer we should get everything!!!!!!! Throw Club 33 in there as well. And, we should have our own day at the park too. And free churros. And a pony. Free car wash too! Am I forgetting anything?

It could be part of an expanded, "deluxe" version of the existing "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour.

But I've gotta go with the majority on this one. Not just for APS. If a day visitor (non-AP) wants to spend money and a good portion of their day on a behind-the-scenes tour, they shouldn't have to be an AP!

They already sell entrance to Walt's apartment. I've read about a few different people from MiceChats who have been in because somebody won an auction. So Disney already sells it. Are you asking if they should sell it for cheaper? I say no to that. Same reasons I said "no" to opening up Club 33.

It should be kept special. Only on certain occasions and only to those who win the chance. The General Public would destroy it. You know very well who I mean, they just steal everything they can get their grubby little hands on and it ends up on Ebay the next day. This was a very special place for a very special man, and it should be kept that way. I vote no.

Yes - lifetime immunity from anybody saying anything derrogatory about APs, no matter what they do or say.

Re: Should Disneyland sell tours of Walt's Apartment to AP's?

Whoops, did I say Ap's only... my bad!

The only reason I said AP's is because if something goes sideways or ends up missing, there is a way to track the people that were in the apartment. So bolt everything down and make the tours small enough that they can keep an eye on peoples and open it up to anyone with the dough.
