No jokes here folks. Move it along.
Due to a funeral, my wife was taking a trip to Boston last week. Being the kind man I am, I decided to go to Disneyland (couldn't afford two tickets to Boston anyway)
I stayed at Speederscout's home... the host with the most you might say, if you were prone to saying things like that.
On Saturday Speederscout invited a veritable who's who of Micechat to his home for a tour of fantastic Redlands, a Barbecue, and a performance of Othello at the Redlands bowl. It was a fantastically fun day for me, getting to meet such noteworthy micechatters as Dustysage, Fishbulb, Monorailman, MonorailMom, MonorailDad, DisneyKat, a_hyberbole, FastpassMountain, FrodoPotter, Morrigoon, Wolfy 999 (and wolfette) and I'm sure a pletora of others whom will now be ticked off at me for not mentioning them. It was a busy day full of fun and laughter... unfortunately I seem to have only three photos.
This is me betwix a Dustysage and a Fishbulb. Two of the nicest folk you can meet.
and another angle, featuring a_hyperbole and Fastpassmountain
Here we have Speederscout (a man proud of his town) Disneykat (a woman proud of her mouth) and Monorailman (a man proud of his micechat)
And thats all the photos from the funfilled day. Can you believe it? What I slacker I was.
On Sunday I headed to Disneyland on a SOLO TRIP.
I arrived before the gates to parking was open and had to wait in line to get in... never did that before.
and here I am. Just me and Che. All alone. Poor thejoshualee. But, I made a discovery. Due to the fact that I had my wife's AP with me, and the fact I had to buy a blockout ticket I thought.. "I wonder if I can get more than one fastpass?" (insert the bum badadabums of the Muppet Glee Club singing Temptation here) I inserted tickets, and got triple fastpass. Of course there was a moral debate going on in my head, but I kept them just the same. In the end I gave most away to foolish day tourists so life is good.
That Asian Girl kept grabbing at me instead of her boyfriend.
Thunder Mountain was closed for most of the day, though I did get to ride it several times later on in the day (and did lots of research for the Micechat Mythbusters club available with a micechat gold membership, get yours today). Actually the whole day was a day of breakdowns for me. Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, California Screaming, Splash Mountain, and a bevy of others broke down while I was either in line or on the ride.
this is a photo of CSI: Space Mountain. As you can see, the black lights show no protein spills on my pants, thank you very much.
I love seeing nuns leaving Tomorowland.
as you can see from this completely random photo, DCA was empty as always.
Or was it?
this is when California Screaming went down. The Cast Members kept saying that it wouldn't be up for a while but...
that didnt' stop a long line from forming anyway. People are so funny when they are stupid.
Not everything you throw in the water will get eaten by a duck. Beware.
I don't see what the big deal is with the Haunted Mansion changes. The cat looked exactly the same as I remember from before. And her nipples don't look that big either I might add.
this patriotic moment brought to you by The Mark Twain and ultra conservative republicans.
Thought this may be the problem with Thunder Mountain, but no. The prairie dogs just wanted a ride, that's all.
Kind of hard to tell, but that there kid is Haley Joel Osment, star of such films as The Sixth Sense, Second Hand Lions, and the Kingdom Hearts video games. I followed him and his family for a while to make sure it was him. I'm due in court next tuesday.
I ended my day with a ride on Space Mountain, or I would have if it didn't break down and had to have the building evacuated. No biggie, I rode it over 10 times that day.
All in all, a fun time. The micechat event on Saturday was fantastic and a day by my lonesome in the park was fun and relaxing.
There you have it.
