Keep the paint, lose the crowns and all the crap with it (but keep the gold accents) and it will look great.
Also, Disney can you paint that ugly wire sky blue or something, it ruins the castle!

Here's a picture of the castle without all the crud on it and with its new finish. Looks nice, but I would tone down the gold just a bit.
I think the gold is a nice touch for the 50th, but they should remove it after

I have nothing but pity for Walt Disney World.
I love the decorations, especially since we can't walk through it anymore.
I never understood how that hideous castle overlay happened in WDW, I mean, it looks like a bad joke!
I would say a LEETLE less gold than A Disney Dreamer's post would be perfect.

I liked the New stuff for about 3 months, but the time has come to go back to the classic.
It looks like the difference between a Classic Lady, and a Cheap Whore...(Ooooops,...Did I say that out loud?)

I wish they tone down the pink. If it's a faint pink sure but... I'm not a fan of the color.
And that is too much gold, loose the gold.
Personally, I like all of the crowns, except the ones on the main tower. They really distract from the whole forced perspective of the Castle. I think that the other three crowns could stay, but move the tower crowns elsewhere. I like the gold. I think that it looks good, but get rid of all the other garb. I'm just happy that the roof got painted. The old pale blue was fading so much that it looked terrible. This dark blue gives a sharp contrast to the pink, which makes it all the better. I think that as soon as the pink paint fades a little, the castle, with its gold, will look perfect.
The paint scheme has to to stay. It would be a travesty to go back to the crappy faded pink decades. They shouldn't step back in time, they should either keep this color scheme or make the castle a different color all together.
They can't change the color scheme - it's Sleeping Beauty's Castle.Originally Posted by Mathius

They could change it but I don't think it would go over too well with guests. I just want to see this new color scheme stay for a while, the faded pink just made the castle dilapidated.Originally Posted by A Disney Dreamer
