Yeah, I think it's time for a Disney Water park!

I think it's about time that Disney builds a Water park out here, or better yet turn DCA into a Water Park! j/k anyways do you think Disney needs a water park out here in California? I know Soak city is just a short distance away, but that is knott's they don't have the imagintaion to create a "themed" water park. So what do you think?

    I don't.

We already have Raging Waters, Hurricane Harbor and Soak City, USA.

Plus water parks have to be closed (at least some) during particular months.

And to add on top of that, Disney needs to fix out the poorly-executed Disney's California Adventure.

Disney has A LONG way to go before even thinking of building a water park, which I think is a bit on the boring as well.

Having a studio park would be better. But like I said, that is not even an option til they fix up DCA.

Ooh, my very first reply! Hmm, I've heard rumors that Disney bought a strawberry farm by the convention center and plans were in the works for a water park in 2010...think there's any truth to it?

Well Disney could always do what the japanese did and have a climate controlled indoor waterpark. The reason there are so many water parks in california because it kinda gets hot here in the summer =p

They should fix DCA before thinking about making a waterpark. It's like stopping in the middle or repainting your house to start working on your roof. Fix one thing before starting another.

I like DCA, unless you're talking about adding some E-tickets, or somehow adding a berm, they should leave it alone. It's everything Walt never wanted Disneyland to be all rolled into one ball and with the Carny danger sucked out of it. It's fun. PAradise Peir reminds me of those funky little carnivals that used to pop up in old parking lots on Friday morning all ready to take your money with it's midway games and scary (and I do not mean thrill) rides. Or a throw back to Pacific Ocean Park or the Pike. But without the drunken sailors.

I really like Condor Flats and Grizzly Peak and can't wait for their landscaping to mature and enhance their themes even more.

The real waste in DCA is the San Fransisco area and they'll find a use for it in time. Just like they always find a use for open space.

Want to fix something broken at TDR?
Fix Tomorrowland. THAT'S just a criminal shame.

Re: Yeah, I think it's time for a Disney Water park!

I'd love a Disney waterpark out here. I think we'd go there more than Disneyland. We LOVE waterparks. We've been to Six Flags 3 times this year but only to Magic Mountain once. Been to Hurricane Harbor twice, and this is after they opened Tatsu ... which we still haven't ridden.

Can't wait to see Blizzard Beach and/or Typhoon Lagoon in October.

My idea for a Disney waterpark in Anaheim is this:

Build it on top of the parking structure that way they don't have to use up anymore precious land.

Then the drop slide can be from the top all the way to the bottom of the structure with an elevator to bring you back up.

I don't thank it needs to be in the strawberry field, It should be at the DL Hotel. A smaller water park for hotel guests, Just more stuff to do with there kids. Or the tallest water park, on top of a parking structure. I like the idea building the third part of the parking structure the area in front of the Tram area, and put a water park on top. Thank of being three more stories higher then the parking structure going down a water slide What A Rush!

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are awesome.
We always visit a water park on the first day of our holiday just to cool off and start the holiday in a relaxing way - last year it was Blizzard Beach, this year it's the Lagoon with a Typhoon!

You Disneylanders do deserve one though. As long as you don't steal our Pirates of the Caribbean themed water park. That is soooo gonna be built in WDW.
