    Cafe Orleans

We all talk about Blue Bayou Place and the menu.
Have anyone see the menu for Cafe Orleans?
Did I miss one of the thread?

    I found one http://www.micechat.com/forums/showt...t=Cafe+orleans

    Re: Cafe Orleans

I heard that it was opening on 6/10 and since we plan to visit then, we have been calling to try to make PS. Up until yesterday, disney dining just kept telling me that it wasn't in their system yet to make PS but we could still go as walk-ins starting on 6/10. Yesterday, I again checked to see if we could make PS and this was the response I received via email from Disney Dining

"Here's the official information from Management. Café Orleans' soft opening (walk ins only) will be June 19-24th. So unfortunately, they will not be opening on the 10th, the castmembers will be training June 5th through June 9th for the cast member preview June 13th-16th."

So we are bummed as we leave DL on June 18th and it looks as though we will miss it altogether! Anyone have any "inside" info to give us some hope of getting in?

    Re: Cafe Orleans

Cafe Orleans is SUPPOSED to be opening on June 10, but at this point it seems a little unlikely, because I'm cross-training for waithelp on June 15-17? Won't they need people trained BEFORE the location opens?

The menu tastes superb, even though I've only had three items off of it.

I must say that I'm already DYING to try a full portion of the seafood crepe.

Cant wait for the New Cafe Orleans.

Just like when Walt built DL in the first place, he wanted to make DL a place above the rest. A place that didn't fit the ordinary space filled by "Amusement Parks" of old.

Now with the new menus, hopefully the food of DL with match everything else in his dream.

I think, slowly- one restaurant at a time- the food quality and menus need to be improved all over the park

    Re: Cafe Orleans

The new menu was posted in the Blue Bayou thread
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

No price on the Crepes....that's kinda scary!

But the Beignets sound scrumptious! Can hardly wait for this to open!

Was there a kids menu out yet?
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

Re: New menu for Cafe Orleans

Hmm... a couple dollars more than I would prefer, but the menu offerings look fantastic!

Souffles, beignets, and crepes, oh my! (Now if only we could get ODV to sell Gauffres...)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

They're there, maybe a llittle too close to the description so I moved them over a bit. I didn't ask about a kids menu.

Can I say how glad I am that they have the traditional Monte Cristo and not just the new cheese one as originally reported.

But ... I'm quite disappointed they got rid of the beef salad they had before they closed. That thing was AWESOME!!!
