they don't use the "wish will come true" ending- i know the part you mean.

the quote in my signature (well, part of it anyway) is in the beginning of the show. It's really tastefully done, and it sounds awesome...

this effect is not only hign above the castle, but medium and low heights as well...it is specifically designed new shells to represent The Rivers Of America, as the cascade effect is the river flowing. it is a truly amazing effect!

Yes. They play a portion of the score called "shanendoah" during this period of the show. It's a truly amazing effect with the depth of the 'river' being easily distinguished amongst the 12-20 HUGE shells that are launched to produce this effect.

I am extremely disappointed now. I can't believe they didn't come up with an original score. That's sad. I was so anxious to hear an a brand new opening and grand finale. It's pretty pathetic, if you ask me. They've had what, at least over a year to make this soundtrack? Just another reference to WDW in the celebration

I just hope it isn't a mesh of attraction spiels taken off the Disneyland CD smooshed together with Disney Character voice overs and a Wishes ending. Kind of like what they did for Imagine last summer. I would rather have a unique, all-new, 17-minute-long, verison that has a new take on attraction soundtracks through symphony sound. Just like what they did with "You'll be in My Heart", "When You Wish...", "Under the Sea", and even "Magic in the Stars" in Believe.

I also have dial-up, so i won't be downloading the video any time soon. all the descriptions have me sooooo excited i wanna go now! or at least july 17th. october is too far away. hmmm, lemme count my coin . . .

ps. imho, the show should include past fireworks segments, afterall the 50th is about remembering the past while anticipating the future.

Well, from the pics I have seen of testing, they are holding onto the "Mickey head" effect from Believe, and I am sure there will be plenty of "shooting stars" from the same shows.

I would rather reserve my judgement for the show until I have stood on Main Street and experienced it for myself. We can tear apart all its elements in theory without even seeing or hearing them for ourselves, but I would bet the farm that not a single one of you will be dry eyed when you are inside the park and it all comes together in the sky above you. I am sure it will be wonderful beyond words.

Hopefully they use those comets from Wishes, but aimed more at an arch over the castle. The ones in Believe never really worked the way they should have. The comets in Wishes are so much more, "powerful."

I'm looking forward to this fireworks display. I love fireworks and I love anything Disney; so you can only imagine my excitement when I am at one of the Disney parks and watching the fireworks show at night.

I have seen the Wishes fireworks display at WDW only a few times. It was much better from the end of Main Street by the train station than closer up Main Street by the Hub. I'm glad I will be as DL for a week. This should give me the opportunity to judge for myself where the best location is. BUT until then I will gladly read anyone's trip report or opinions about "Remember . . Dreams . . .".

These shells you speak of are Brocade Diadem Mums. They are also in Wishes. Eric Tucker uses them in almost every show he does worldwide. They were not made specifically for "Remember".

There are a few pieces so far that will be used in Remeber that Wishes currently sues. The comets are identical to Wishes. They are Stinger Simulator Comets. There is one fan effect that uses Stingette comets. Also used in Wishes. In fact the Stingette comets were made specifically for Wishes. The Stinger Simulator comets were original made for the Military to use in exercises.

I saw them testing the exact comets from Wishes about a week ago flying high over disneyland. I've also seen videos of AMAZING comets launching from the matterhorn, and More AMAZING comets launching right back at it, I'm guessing this is for the POTC scene where the matterhorn and the castle re-enact the Fight scene in Pirates. The begining 20 seconds of the show's music is just like wishes, But I really hope it's different in the finale!!!!

I wouldn't be too terribly dissapointed just yet. While the prologue and epilogues of the show do strikingly resemble "Wishes" in score, I think that the unique placement of firework launchers will not dissapoint. It would have been nice to get a 100% original score, but given that the theme of the show is "dreams come true" lots of the themes present in wishes would seem to apply. I know it's a weak correlation, but believe me when I say that you won't leave mainstreet with a sad face when it's over.

yes, the comets from matterhorn (which has skill and crossbones on it) and the castle are part of the POTC portion of the show. There are also some interesting lighting effects on the castle that will help complete the scene and bring back vivid memories of the POTC attraction. I don't want to spoil all the surprises
