idea for new shop on Main Street USA!

So, I was thinking...
What if they put a shop devoted to model trains in Walt's honor in Main Street @ D-land? It could have HO scales running around the shop! Their could be a display for Walt! Their could be someone telling about Walt and his love of trains! they could sell books about Walt and everything! It could be more focused on the history of everything Disney. Please post your ideas and a name! I can't think of one!

I was thinking it could be more focused on the history of everything Disney but Walt's love of trains incorparated into it. Maybe they could replace the shop in DCA.

The shop in DCA is train-themed, but it's not an actual train shop.

I think it's a fantastic idea. The only downside would be that my 3 year old nephew would never want to leave!

I would love to see the shops of DL go back to the unique shops of yesterland! You think the current leaders would go for it? Actually NOT have a shop that doesn't just sell the same stuff over and over???

The shop in DCA is EngineEars Toys, a toy shop just opposite of Greetings from California, and is more noted for it's 'build a Mr. Potatohead' tower.

As a note, in the Emporium in the 'storybook' section behind the watchshop where the toy section is now, a model train is present and circles around that section of the store. Otherwise, yes, that would be cool.
As a note to minature railroad enthusiasts looking for minautures, Department 56 in Dowtown Disney is an excellent place to check out, and even has some Disney themed minautures as well.

I like the idea of a train shop....a lot! I'm not sure if it would pull in enough cash for Disney, because not everyone is into trains. But it might be neat as a seasonal thing.

Yep, I agree with the fan base of trains. I love them, and if Disney were to offer "official" trains from the park I might consider collecting them, but not a majority would be interested. However, isn't the opposite side of Main Street from the Emporium more of an upper scale product. I seem to remember higher priced clothing, blown glass things, etc. or did all of that go away in the Pressler age. I haven't been over there in a while so I don't remember.

Perhaps an honest to goodness Hobby Shop in DTD? Trains, cars, planes, miniatures. There used to be a cool place called Hobby City on Beach Blvd on the way to Knotts. The Anaheim Convention Centre is hosting the National Model Railway Convention in 2008. Lotsa model railroaders visit DL! If the prices are good, I'd be all over that store. I like the idea of GOOD QUALITY "HO" and "G" scale Disneyland train product.

You want to bring the Bra Shop back to Main Street? I don't think it would fly. Wurlitzer I'm sure would love to have a shop again...if they were still in business. How about "Walt Disney's Legacy"...with a look into future plans for the park. No, there aren't any. Hey, how about the "Main Street Train Shop"? No...it would get too popular, and then they'd move it to DCA and rename it "Disney's Train Shop".
But I'm not bitter or anything...
