I noticed it going away in the late 80's/early 90's. And slowly, they also stopped enforcing the "no food or drink" on attractions too. I recall many times as a kid that holding an open bag of chips or other foods through the line was ok, but the CM would make you finish it or throw it away before entering the ride vehicle. Then, they slowly allowed the sports bottles, since they were "souvenirs", and now, they allow pretty much anything.

It just seems that Disneyland's rules have become very lax during the last decade. I used to like those rules, because it kept Disneyland different from other places. They made sure that nothing would distract from the show.

I don't mean the whole country, but Los Angeles and Hawaii mainly. The water may be safe for you but not for me. You could not pay me to drink LA water. There are is soooooooooo much chlorine in the water because it is so polluted that it takes an obsene amount of chlorine to clean it and then NOBODY should be drinking it. UGH

Um no, many families don't have children. The story goes, Daddy (Walt Disney) was tired of amusment parks that only children could enjoy.

Don't believe the propaganda. In the US tap water and bottled water is regulated by the EPA with the same set of guidelines for both. Not to mention bottled water that is considered very pure has been linked to tooth decay.

A special needs child is just that. A special needs child. The TSA says everybody has to go through a metal detector, guess what? My dad doesn't and cannot. There are exceptions. When general rules are placed they are just that, general rules that apply to the majority.

Mainly because our tap water is fluoridated, and bottled water is not.

Study after study shows that tap water is actually safer, in terms of levels of bacteria and harmful chemicals, than bottled water. You're paying for nothing.

I am paying for taste. Spring water just tastes better to me. Yep, I am so picky that, if given the choice I will not drink filtered water. I hate that the parks only have Dasani. Bleh!

I'm "that woman" and I sometimes let my kids bring toys in -- Disney toys that we've bought on previous trips. This makes them less likely to want every single toy they see. And having a few toys around helps keep the kiddies occupied when waiting hours for the parade or Fantasmic or whatever.

Oh and my kids aren't lazy. They play in many sports and run around a lot. But even adults get tired after walking around a theme park all day -- why should kids be any different?

And I like having all my stuff with me! Who wants to shuffle back and forth to a $7 locker if they don't have to? If it gets cold, I just reach under the stroller and grab sweaters for me and the kids!

Those SUV strollers need to go!!!!! When Disneyland opened it seems to me kids did fine walking on their own. And if your kids isn't even old enough to walk they aren't gonna have a good time a Disneyland - don't waste your money stay home!!!

Its like a frickin parking lot at DLR lately. Stollers go home!

    my little tirade - thanks.
