uuuh are you trying to tell me that my man, the drunken one on the bridge is not hot?! jeeze.
Oh no, sister, he's MY man!
As for a Jack Sparrow AA... NO! Ok, maybe if he's tucked away somewhere where you can look at him and say "Oh, yeah, that's Jack." But not up front and center.
Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
This does sound intriguing. I think some changes to continue its impressiveness into the future are in order. Not like it needs something drastic, though. It's quite impressive as it is. I think some cool new effects would be fabulous!
I think that he would up stage the whole ride. If he appeared only once, people will be looking for him the whole time. I think that both reversing the PC changes, by adding back the pirates chasing the women and the shooting at the end is important, and upgrading the tech of the ride. The DL version is a much better version than the WDW, and I don't want it watered down!

I love that many of the larger rides in Disneyland have a hallmark smell. I'm sure it's accidental, but holy crap do those smells trigger some major nostalgia.
Adding any overt references to the movie back into the ride would cheapen the whole thing. As it is now, the ride makes the movie that much cooler, and I think the movie has the same effect back on the ride - and they do this because the movie was so cleverly made to compliment the existing ride. To go back and re-theme it at all as a "movie ride" would cheapen the very complimentary class act the film and ride have going on right now.
