You know what I really miss at Disneyland?

The parades that they used to spend lots of money on which had a tie in with the latest and greates Disney movie release!

    Remember the following?

    Lion King parade
    Toy Story parade
    Mulan parade
    Hercules parade

And there were even more that were promoted at Disney (soon to be former MGM) Studios!

Why can't we go back to Disney Magic basics and restart the parades!

The one parade I will not miss at all is that awful, unimaginative Parade of the Stars. That was the worst parade ever! Totally lacking in imagination, creativity, originality and the music was so uninspired it was like they just pulled some songs from a generic muzak machine. It seriously made me long for Light Magic.

I miss the old donald duck hats with the sqeaky duckbill, and I'm pretty sure I was able to get my name on the back.

I miss the old pirate musket guns and riples you could get at Pieces of eight and the Davey Crocket musket rifles in Frontierland.

I miss the PeopleMover and shops that actually had merchandise themed to the land that they were in (ever notice now how almost all the shops seem like one big, extended Disney store?).
    Woof!

Honestly, there hasn't been a movie that's come out recently worthy of a parade. If you ask a random kid today if he/she has heard of "Home on the Range", I bet you'll get a blank stare more often than not.

Disney first has to release a movie that would make an expensive parade worth the money.
    Woof!

I have one of those!!! Those are freaking awesome.

Anyways, who could forget Light Magic and the confetti. So much confetti and so much crap at the same time....

Words can't really describe what I miss about Disneyland....DisneyWorld still has it.

It was a certain feeling or energy that was generated by most everyone around you....a feeling that we were all embarking on a great adventure; that we were sort of in this enterprise of touring the park together....

I don't know if it is because most everyone in the park nowadays has been there so many times that the excitement has waned, or if it is that the crowds have reached unbearable levels, or if it is something else that is missing....but whatever it is it is gone and I miss it.

I loved the Mulan parade. I miss it. I wish they would do it during chinese new year in the San Francisco area at DCA. (Or at least a scaled down version of it.)

I miss the Indian village, the pack mule ride and the Carousel of Progress. Oh, and I miss the Welch's grape juice place in Fantasyland.

Hey, I forgot about the Welch's place. I used to think that was really cool because I used to pick grapes as a service project when I was little for a place that sold their grapes to Welch's. I considered myself a Welchkin back then. (I was 10.)

Unfortunately, my daughter knows Home on the Range. She's also a big fan of Cinderella 2, Lady and the Tramp 2, and Stuart Little THREE. Yes, Virginia, there is a Stuart Little THREE.

But why I quoted you....is that I agree. There are such crappy Disney movies out these last many years, that none of them warrant a parade.

I miss a lot of things at Disneyland, namely Tomorrowland.

Dude, don't diss the Parade of the Stars, I WAS IN IT!! Ha! but in all seriousness, p'raps the parade wasn't the best, but being in one is so cool. I would love for them to do something like this again.

What do I miss? Was so boring when I was a kid and now what I'd like brought back more than anything is People Mover.

I miss the old Disney animation films that had the beautiful art work and the bring-you-to-tears music that was incorporated into them. This computer junk they are producing now has nothing that even stands remotely close to the magic of good old animation.

I mean come on, look how popular Snow White is when compared to Chicken Little - and she's like 80 years old in today's industry!
