As Walt Disney himself once said, "Disneyland will never be completed as long as there is imagination left in the world."
I think Disney uses this quote as their biggest excuse for the crap they pull. How many times did we hear this quote as they brought in TL '98? If memory serves me correctly, this quote was also used by Ms. Harrissssss when they removed Country Bears and put in the Pooh. I've always interpreted the quote as Walt meaning that things would continually be added to the Park, not continually removed for either something cheap or even nothing at all. In the EPCOT documentary found in the Tomorrowland Disney Treasures DVD, they even say, "Whatever worked became the norm. Whatever didn't was removed; replaced by a better idea". I think that quote should be used more than the "Disneyland will never be complete...." quote. I'm not meaning to sound too negative. I'm very grateful that the Eisner/Pressler/Harris era is gone. I'm very optimistic with Matt as Pres. and am at least hopeful of Iger since he weakend Strategic Planning. I just wish they would exercises better exegesis when quoting Walt.
