So I got an email back from the Walt Disney Company about Peoplemover and MBC...

Hey guys, the otherday I just decided for the hell of it, to email the Walt Disney Company asking if the Motorboat Cruise and Peoplemover were returning. This is the response I got back:

    "Dear Alex,

Thank you for your e-mail to the Disneyland Resort.

Thank you for your interest in the People Mover and the Motor Boat Cruise.
Unfortunately, these attractions has closed permanently. As Walt Disney himself once said, "Disneyland will never be completed as long as there is imagination left in the world." Walt continually evaluated existing
attractions in order to make changes, modifications, and occasionally close
attractions to make way for new and exciting adventures. In keeping with our philosophy of making Disneyland exciting and ever changing, we are continually evaluating our attractions, closing some existing attractions and
developing new facilities to reflect progress and to maintain the interest of
    our visitors.

Walt Disney Imagineering has already begun formulating preliminary design and conceptual plans for a new attraction. We are sure that you will agree that our Disney Imagineers have an outstanding track record with creating exciting attractions that appeal to visitors of all ages. We hope that
you will continue to follow the developments of the Disneyland Resort.

Again, Alex, thank you for taking the time to write. We hope you will have the
    opportunity to visit
the Disneyland Resort soon and trust your visit will be pleasant in all regards.

    Sincerely,

    Linda Trump
    Disneyland Resort
    Guest Communications"

The letters are just fill-in-the-blank for the employees of Disney. When I wrote about the possible removal of the Submarines, I got the same response.
Too bad they don't respond like they used to, more personable.

Same response that we got (fill in the blanks) twice. I wonder if Linda is a real person or just a name made up for these type of responses???

Those form response letters are so disappointing. For once I'd like to see them respond to their queries like actual, real live intelligent people, not like some pseudo AA figure. Everytime I've written to them I get the same... always using Walt's words. It's a bit insulting I find.

I don't mean to poke the bubble of anyone here but do people actually anticipate anything more than a form letter from a giant corperation like Disney? I mean honestly, they are gonna choose to divulge major renovations plans to a bunch of net surfing Disney fans? Did it ever occur that those are the type of changes Disney/Matt Ouimet/Bob Iger- would make in a very official cermony?

Should be "grammar" (quit thinking about Kelsey).
My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club
